A Palestinian terrorist was shot and killed by IDF soldiers Tuesday night after he attacked and shot at them. Two others were wounded and arrested.

The incident occurred on the central Route 60 near the Palestinian village of Turmus Aya in the Binyamin region.

A Palestinian terrorist exited a car and shot with a handgun at an IDF unit that was patrolling the area. The soldiers responded promptly and killed the terrorist. No Israeli troops were injured.

Two other Palestinian suspects who were sitting in the car were shot and wounded as well. They were treated by Israeli medics at the scene and then were arrested and turned over to Israeli security forces for further questioning. Some 100 bullets were found in the car.

An apparent technical failure the terrorist experienced with his gun prevented a more deadly attack.

The dead terrorist is Mohammed Sallah, 24, from the Palestinian village of Arura.
