WATCH: Russian warplanes target ISIS in Syria from Iran

The Russian Defense Ministry released a video on Tuesday of Tu-22M3 long-range bombers striking ISIS targets in Syria from the Khamandan air base in Iran, marking a new development in the country’s civil war.

This was the first time Russia used the territory of another Middle Eastern country for its operations inside Syria in support of President Bashar Assad.
