IDF forces attacked targets belonging to Hezbollah and the Assad regime on Friday night, Lebanese and Syrian reports indicate, although details of the alleged attack differ in the various news sources.

Israel Air Force warplanes struck a Hezbollah military facility at around 11 p.m., Syria Mubasher, a news site affiliated with the Syrian opposition, reported.

Other media sources say that warplanes reached targets in the Qalamoun mountain region in western Syria at approximately 9 p.m.

The IDF has not commented on the reports, which are the first regarding an Israeli strike in that territory since Russia sent troops to Syria several weeks ago. Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011, Israel reportedly attacked Syrian targets as well as Iranian rockets en route to Lebanon for Hezbollah terrorists.
