IDF shoots 2 terrorists, captures 13 in Samaria anti-terror operations

As part of Operation Wave Breaker, launched since the rise in attacks in Israel, IDF forces carried out counterterrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria on Sunday night.

IDF forces operating in Samaria on Sunday night shot two Arab terrorists as they attempted to throw an explosive charge at them.

The IDF stated that two suspects on a motorcycle threw an improvised explosive device at an IDF force that was conducting routine operations near the city of Shechem (Nablus). The troops responded by firing at the suspects.

The two terrorists were injured. Their state is unclear.

In related news, Israeli forces carried out counterterrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria on Sunday night, including in the villages of Klil, Ras Atiya, Telat and Azzun.

In the village of El Omri, the forces arrested a wanted man suspected of involvement in terrorist activity. In Hebron, the forces arrested four wanted persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. In the village of Hussan, they arrested four wanted persons

A total of 13 wanted persons were arrested in the operations.

The arrests were made as part of Operation Wave Breaker, Israel’s counterterrorism operation that was launched following several deadly terror attacks that the country experienced in recent weeks.

The latest attack occurred in Elad, in which two terrorists axed to death three Israeli men, leaving behind 16 orphans.

A week before that, Vyacheslav Golev was shot dead at the entrance to the city of Ariel in Samaria.

In the attack before that, a terrorist from Jenin shot and killed three Israelis in the heart of Tel Aviv. Before that, a terrorist from Yabed shot to death five people in the city of Bnei Brak. In yet another attack, two Islamist terrorists shot and killed two Israelis in the city of Hadera. In Be’er Sheva, a terrorist stabbed and murdered four Israelis.

In fact, on Sunday morning, an elite police unit arrested two terrorists from Samaria who were on their way to launch an attack in Tel Aviv.
