Mohamed Hadid, a Los Angeles-based real restate developer who is also the father of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, made a comparison between Israel and Nazis in a post on Instagram that was uploaded over the weekend as the war rages on between the Jewish state the Hamas terrorists controlling the Gaza Strip.

The post, which has since been deleted, was an image that featured the flag of the state of Israel intertwined with that of a Nazi flag. The photo also included bullet points that made outrageous, false claims about Israel while comparing it to the Nazis. For example, it claimed that Israel was “founded on Jewish supremacy,” similar to how Nazi ideology was based on “Arian [sic] supremacy.” The post was originally shared by an Instagram account called Palestine Lobby.

The Nazareth-born real estate tycoon made further false claims about Israel in the caption of the Instagram post.

In 2019, Mohamed similarly, and falsely, claimed that Israel was committing a “Holocaust” against the Palestinians and committing genocide like what the Nazis did. The real estate tycoon, who has dual Jordanian-American citizen, has a history of sharing antisemitic false information and antisemitic conspiracy theories about Israel and Jews with his millions of social media followers.

Earlier this month, after Hamas went on a deadly rampage in Israel on Oct. 7, he shared on Instagram Stories a video that describes Palestinians as “the oppressed” and Israel the “oppressor.” He also wrote “Free Palestine” in the caption of a video where Ukraine, as it continues to fight against a Russian invasion, is compared to “Palestine” and added: “To be clear I condemn the killing and hostage taking or abusing, torturing of civilians. Of Arabs Muslims, Jews, or Christians. And complete disapproval of the treatment of the occupation against the occupied.”

Both Bella and Hadid have spoken out amid the Israel-Hamas war by expressing solidarity with Palestinians living “under occupation” in the Gaza Strip while condemning violence against civilians.
