Just hours after two Israelis were murdered in cold blood in a terrorist attack at a Samaria industrial park, Education Minister Naftali Bennett slammed Palestinian leaders from the Hamas terror group and the Palestinian Authority for what he called their celebratory reaction.

“While Israel endures terrible sadness, Hamas is handing out candies and [PA President Mahmoud] Abbas is looking after salaries. We must stop this celebration,” said Bennett in a statement, referring to the PA’s policy of paying stipends to Palestinian terrorists and the families of those killed committing their crimes.

The victims, Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel, 28, and Zvi Hajbi, 35, were parents to young children, with a third victim being treated at Beilinson Hospital for non-life threatening wounds.

“[Levengrond-Yehezkel and Hajbi] did not imagine [this morning] would be the last time they would see their children. This morning, a cruel terrorist cut their lives short,” Bennett lamented in his statement.

The terrorist, a 23-year-old from a Palestinian village near Tulkarem, fled the scene of attack, with Israeli security forces mounting a manhunt to catch the suspect, whom they believe is armed and dangerous.

Following the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the incident “a very severe terrorist attack in which two Israelis were brutally murdered.”
