Breaking: Israeli woman stabbed in attack near Modiin

She was lightly to moderately wounded; a 14-year old Palestinian was detained.

An Israeli woman in her early 20’s was stabbed in the neck on Wednesday near Maccabim junction on Highway 443, sustaining light to moderate wounds, according to emergency personnel.

Israeli Border Police on their way to a training base identified the stabber and stopped him by firing in the air.

Police said that the suspect was a 14-year old Palestinian boy. The incident reportedly took place at a bus stop.

The junction is located near the city of Modiin.

The victim was fully conscious, according to Magen David Adom, and in a state of distress. . They managed to stop her bleeding on the scene, the first responders said.

At least one report said that a man had been injured, as well.
