Clinton tops 2015-16 Islamist money list

Hillary Clinton tops a list of the top 10 beneficiaries of 2015-2016 campaign contributions from individuals who subscribe to Radical Islam.

A list of the top 10 beneficiaries of 2015-2016 campaign contributions from individuals who subscribe to “Islamic supremacy,”  compiled by the Middle East Forum’s “Islamist Money in Politics” (IMP) project, has U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at the top.

Clinton, IMP claims, raked in $41,165 from prominent Islamists who, according to IMP, “subscribe to the same Islamic supremacism as Khomeini, Bin Laden, and ISIS.”

This includes $19,249 from senior officials of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a staunchly anti-Israel organization with alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

An ADL profile on CAIR, among other sources, notes that the FBI “has distanced itself from CAIR over the years. In an April 2009 letter to the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology, and Homeland Security, the FBI explained that it suspended contact with CAIR because of evidence…demonstrating that CAIR and its founders were part of a group set up by the Muslim Brotherhood to support Hamas.”

In November 2014, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) placed CAIR and a number of other American Muslim groups on a list of terrorist organizations.

The Middle East Forum, a Philadephia-based non-profit organization, according to its mission statement, “promotes American interests in the Middle East and protects Western values from Middle Eastern threats.”

IMP “holds politicians accountable for accepting funds from sources linked to the enemy. It shines a light on Islamist influence in U.S. politics by making public the campaign contributions of 1,356 leading figures in America’s most important Islamist groups. To date, IMIP has documented 2,974 Islamist contributions worth $1.43 million.”
