Will the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Jerusalem be graced by Gal Gadot’s presence?

The organizers of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest have offered Israeli-born film star Gal Gadot to host the event, Israel’s Ynet news reported Monday.

Frantic preparations for the contest, which will take place in Jerusalem following Israel’s winning of the contest this year, are already underway.

While Gadot would have significantly boosted the contest’s international appeal, sources close to the Wonder Woman actress said that she will probably be forced to decline the offer due to her tight schedule at Hollywood.

Israel’s Netta Barzilai won the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest this month with a catchy techno dance tune about women’s empowerment.

The 25-year-old beat out competition from 42 other countries’ performers to claim the music extravaganza’s annual crown at the Grand Final with her song “Toy.”

Her win — Israel’s fourth and first since 1998 — means Jerusalem hosts next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

“Next time in Jerusalem!” Barzilai shouted to the audience as she picked up her award.

Netta’s decisive victory was achieved despite a BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) campaign to have Netta fail. Anti-Israel activists called on European residents to boycott the Israeli song and award it zero points.

Gadot assisted Barzilai in overcoming the boycott by telling the tens of millions of her followers on Instagram to “vote for Netta.”

Gadot served in the IDF and has been a vocal supporter of the Jewish state.
