IDF troops operating in the city of Hebron on Sunday night seized an M4 assault rifle, an air gun, magazines, ammunition, and parts of various weapons.

The findings were transferred to security forces for further investigation, the IDF stated.

Forces operating in the Samaria area confiscated thousands of shekels meant to fund Palestinian terrorism. “This activity was part of the campaign against funds used for terror,” the IDF said.

Border Policemen carrying out a stakeout on the security fence near Jenin identified Palestinians attempting to scale the fence and gave chase, catching one of them, a resident of the Palestinian city in his 20s. He was turned over to the Shin Bet for questioning.

The forces found a child’s backpack dropped by one of the infiltrators with a Carl Gustav submachine gun and a magazine inside. They also found a cell phone and a wire-cutting tool in the area.

Times of Israel reported that riots broke out in response to IDF raids in the Palestinian town of Kafr Bidu and the nearby Jerusalem neighborhood of Kafr Aqab, during which dozens of residents threw rocks and other objects at the troops. The soldiers responded with riot dispersal means. No injuries were reported.
