IDF Spokesman: ‘Hamas terrified of thought of war with Israel’

The IDF has stood up against worse challenges than the terror Hamas currently confronts it with, said Israeli Army Spokesman Ronen Manelis.

Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson, Brigadier General Ronen Manelis said, “The reason Hamas acts the way it does is that it’s terrified of the thought of war with Israel.”

Manelis made his remarks in an interview with IDF Radio, Wednesday.

“Hamas has failed time after time in its attempts at terror,” he said. “With tunnels, with rockets, with terror attacks and it has paid a very heavy price with dead and wounded.”

“This terror [of border riots, fire balloons and kite bombs] is a challenge, but the Army has stood up against more difficult and complicated challenges than this,” he said.
