Jerusalem synagogue defaced with crosses

A Jerusalem synagogue was defaced when vandals spray-painted black crosses on its walls and windows Sunday night.

Jerusalem’s police launched an investigation into the vandalism after receiving the late-night report on the graffiti spray-painted on the sanctuary’s façade.

A police team and forensic investigators examined the multiple crosses covering the walls and windows.

The police, in its statement, did not indicate the scope of its investigation or whether the incident was a hate crime, and did not mention any suspects tied to the incident.
