Netanyahu warns ISIS: Zero tolerance for attacks against Israel

Israel will have zero tolerance for attacks from ISIS on its border and will exact a heavy price from its enemies, Netanyahu warned.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday warned the Islamic State (ISIS) and other Islamic terror groups operating out of Syria that Israel will have zero tolerance for attacks against it from across its border with Syria in the north.

Speaking at the opening of the weekly meeting of his Likud political party in the Knesset, Netanyahu revealed that over the past few days there were multiple attempts to attack the IDF on the border with Syria.

Israel “responded with great force and exacted a heavy and swift price from our enemies,” he said.

“We are paying close attention to developments and continuing with determination to implement the policy that I have established. We will not tolerate even isolated fire and we will respond forcefully, and if necessary will attack our enemies before they attack us. We will not allow radical Islam to establish another front against us, we will not enable any element to harm us in the Golan Heights.”

Netanyahu spoke just a day after Israel Air Force (IAF) aircraft attacked an installation used by the Shuhada al-Yarmouk group, an ISIS affiliate, in southern Syria in response to an attack by them on IDF soldiers earlier in the day.

IDF forces killed four terrorists during the first incident.

The IDF has prepared for a possible terror attack by ISIS in the Golan, and maintains a high level of alertness on its northern border.

The Syrian terror group Shuhada al-Yarmouk, which operates in the Southern Syrian Golan Heights on Israel’s border, joined forces with ISIS, significantly heightening ISIS’ presence on Israel’s border.
