Palestinian terrorist wounds IDF soldier in Samaria stabbing attack

A Palestinian terrorist stabbed an IDF soldier at the entrance to the Israeli community of Mavoh Dotan in Samaria.

A female Palestinian terrorist stabbed and wounded an IDF soldier at the entrance to the Israeli community of Mavoh Dotan in Samaria, on Thursday.

According to an IDF statement, the terrorist approached IDF soldiers, who were securing the entrance of the community. They called on her to stay away, but she did not heed their calls. At some point she drew a sharp object and stabbed one of the soldiers in the stomach. The soldiers responded by shooting her.

The victim, in his early 20s, was taken to an Israeli hospital with light wounds to his abdomen.

The terrorist sustained serious wounds and was likewise taken to an Israeli hospital.

The attack occurred during the Muslim month of Ramadan, during which the IDF fears there will be an intensification of Palestinian terror attacks as a result of augmented incitement at the mosques and the increase in religious fervor.

The role of female Palestinian terrorists has grown markedly in the most recent wave of terror attacks.

This attack is the latest in a long series of Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of more than a year, claiming the lives of 47 victims and wounding over 650.
