Peace with Iran? Trump calls for entire Mideast to join Abraham Accords

President Trump hints at possibility of Iranian peace deal with Israel, calling for every country in the Middle East to join in the Abraham Accords.

President Donald Trump suggested that the entire Middle East could normalize relations with the State of Israel, including a potential peace deal between Iran and the Jewish state.

Taking to his Truth Social account on Thursday morning, Trump reiterated his claims that Iran’s nuclear program was “obliterated” during the one-day US air campaign in June.

With Iran’s nuclear weapons program off the table, Trump continued, the time is ripe for the entire Middle East to join the Abraham Accords and normalize ties with Israel.

In his post, Trump appeared to hint at the inclusion of Iran in the Accords, calling for “peace in the Middle East.”

“Now that the nuclear arsenal being ‘created’ by Iran has been totally OBLITERATED, it is very important to me that all Middle Eastern Countries join the Abraham Accords,” Trump wrote.

“This will insure PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

A day earlier, Trump told reporters in the White House that the US would strike Iran again if Tehran attempts to revive its nuclear weapon program.

“We have stopped wars in the Middle East by stopping Iran from having a nuclear weapon … as soon as they start, we’ll be back,” Trump said.

Trump called Iran a “very evil place” and a “perpetrator of hate,” while suggesting change was likely to take place in the near future.

“I think it’s going to be a lot different in the coming years.”

First established in 2020, the Abraham Accords have brought three Arab states into full diplomatic normalization with Israel, including Bahrain, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates.

A fourth country, Sudan, has signed onto the Accords, though internal turmoil has hindered implementation of the peace deal.
