A pickup truck drove into a group of Jewish protesters blocking an entrance to an immigration detention facility in Central Falls, Rhode Island on Wednesday night, several media outlets report.

The protesters were blocking the entrance to the parking lot at the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility in protest over a contract it signed with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to house illegal immigrants.

According to Rhode Island’s Channel 12, 139 ICE detainees are currently being housed at the facility.

The hundreds of protesters who had come to demonstrate were part of a new Jewish group “Never Again, Action,” which seeks to shut down ICE operations around the U.S.

“We will shut down every detention center, block every truck, and stop every raid until we have an immigration system rooted in the dignity of the millions of undocumented immigrants across the country and at our border,” the group said in a press release.

“We shut this place down in early July and we’re going to do it again,” said Matthew Harvey, a Never Again, Action organizer to Channel 12 news, talking specifically of the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility.

According to the Channel 12 report, the protest was peaceful until a car tried to drive through the protesters who were sitting and blocking the parking lot entrance. The report said that someone may have been hurt.

“People here said they couldn’t breathe. They reported here that they were sprayed with pepper spray,” said a Channel 12 reporter at the scene.

A video of the scene shows a black pickup driving into the line of protesters. The driver has not yet been identified. However, Never Again, Action tweeted that it belonged a guard at the facility.
