Qatar targeted Ted Cruz and other Republicans for criticizing terrorist groups – report

The Project ENDGAME document says, ‘High Alert: An attack on Hamas is an attack on Qatar. An attack on the Muslim Brotherhood is an attack on Qatar.’

Qatar hired a former CIA agent’s company to target Republican lawmakers who introduced legislation opposing Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, Fox News reports.

In an exclusive report, Fox News says it has accessed a secret document called Project ENDGAME” drafted by U.S. company Global Risk Advisors (GRA) founded by the ex-CIA employee Kevin Chalker.

The Project ENDGAME document reads, “High Alert: An attack on Hamas is an attack on Qatar. An attack on the Muslim Brotherhood is an attack on Qatar.”

Its proposal says, “Qatar’s Enemies Must Be Identified” and “In the U.S., your enemies operate in the shadows. You can’t stop the enemies that you can’t find.”

The group launched a campaign to discredit Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas because he tried to have The Muslim Brotherhood listed as a terrorist organization.

The plan was introduced in 2017 during which the group sent a memo that said, “Sen. Ted Cruz has reintroduced his bill to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group. Unless you act soon, your enemies will inject Qatar into this fight.”

However, Senator Cruz has not backed down from his criticism of the terror groups and Qatar’s funding them.

Following the October 7th attacks, Cruz told Fox News, “The Qatari government spends uncountable billions of dollars promoting and even funding the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and other terrorist groups.”

He added, “They have either bought or intimidated huge parts of Washington, D.C., into silence. It’s not at all surprising they would consider the few remaining outspoken opponents of the Muslim Brotherhood in Congress to be Qatar’s enemies.”

Cruz concluded, “It is long past time for the U.S. to reevaluate the U.S.-Qatari relationship.”

Hamas has called itself “one of the wings of the Muslim Brotherhood” which has been declared a terrorist organization by Egypt, The United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.

The Associated Press also reported on the link between Qatar and the ex-CIA chief’s company in an article from 2022 entitled “FBI probing ex-CIA officer’s spying for World Cup host Qatar.”

The AP also covered attacks against Florida Republican Representative Mario Diaz-Balart in 2017 after he also proposed outlawing the Muslim Brotherhood.

He said, “This is not the first time a regime has targeted my office using covert tactics, and it will not dissuade my resolve to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.”

Also on Qatari’s hit list for Project ENDGAME was Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas after he criticized Qatar.

Republican Representative Jack Bergman, a retired United States Marine Corps lieutenant general, told Fox, “If the Qataris are willing to use their state espionage capabilities to protect terrorist groups by targeting senators (and Representatives), how can we be confident in the security of our servicemen and women—and our secrets—at CENTCOM’s forward headquarters in Doha?”

Currently, there are 8,000 military personnel at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US air base in the Middle East.

During the current war between Israel and Hamas, Qatar has played a role as a mediator regarding hostage releases.

On January 10, families of hostages met with the Prime Minister of Qatar, who offered a deal to release all of the hostages in exchange for the IDF permanently ceasing its operations in Gaza, a deal which was not accepted by Israel’s war cabinet.

Retired IDF Colonel Yigal Carmon in an interview with Fox News warned that “Qatar is an enemy pretending to be an ally” and that it’s playing “the same dirty tricks” supporting terrorist groups and then assuming a role as negotiator.

Carmon added, “Qatar should not be part of the negotiations…Qatar is not vital to negotiation. It is damaging, Egypt is better. There is nothing Qatar can offer that Egypt cannot. Egypt doesn’t support Hamas.”
