These are initiated and controlled explosions that were planned in advance and not a security incident.”The Hezbollah affiliated al-Mayadeen TV station denied the reports. There have been several previous reports of IAF airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in Syria, primarily against weapons shipments. Many of the weapons shipments are financed by Iran.Read 2 Israeli reserve soldiers killed in northern fightingSince the death of notorious terrorist Samir Kuntar in Syria last Saturday, reportedly in an IAF strike, there have been numerous reports of IAF activity in Syrian and Lebanese skies. The IDF has instructed Israeli farmers with fields near the northern border to stay away, fearing a Hezbollah retaliatory terror attack, after the IDF’s announcement follows its instruction to its own forces to maintain a low profile and wear extra protective gear when patrolling near the border.Meanwhile, a European diplomat is quoted by the Kuwaiti Al-Qabas newspaper on Saturday that Hezbollah has received messages through official Lebanese channels not to launch a revenge attack against Israel for Kuntar’s assassination, since in such a scenario, Israel will likely respond forcefully.
