A New York playground named for the late Beastie Boys’ singer Adam Yauch was defaced with Nazi swastikas and the words “Go Trump!”

The swastikas and slogan were spray-painted on playground equipment in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood.

Brooklyn-born Yauch was one of the founding members of the rap group and who, along with Michael ‘Mike D’ Diamond and Adam ‘Ad-Rock’ Horovitz, won three Grammy’s and seven MTV Awards.

The park is named after the late rapper, who was Jewish. He died of cancer in 2012 at the age of 47.

New York City Councilman Brad Lander said police were investigating and a Parks Department spokesman said Saturday the graffiti was removed.

This was one of several recent instances of vandalism using the Nazi symbol around New York and in other parts of the country.

Perhaps indicative of the intelligence level that breeds such outbursts, one of the swastikas was backwards, while the other was barely discernible, the UK’s Daily Mail wrote.
