Hollywood star Angelina Jolie blames Israel for Gaza suffering, but skips key facts about Hamas terror and hostage-taking.

Acclaimed actress Angelina Jolie slammed Israel in her Instagram story on Sunday, reposting a claim from Doctors Without Borders that the IDF is allegedly targeting aid workers and Palestinian civilians.

“As Israeli forces resume and expand the their military offensive by air, ground and sea on the Gaza Strip, forcibly displacing people and deliberately blocking the essential aid, Palestinian lives are one once again being systematically destroyed,” read the Doctors Without Borders post, which Jolie shared with her more than 16 million followers on the social media platform.

The text claimed that Gaza has become a “mass grave for Palestinians and those helping them.”

The actress did not mention that humanitarian aid is regularly stolen by Hamas members, who then sell the goods to Gazan civilians at exorbitant prices.

The post also failed to provide context for the war, ignoring thousands of Hamas rocket attacks against Israeli civilian communities, as well as the fact that the terror group is still holding dozens of hostages.

Jolie has previously attacked Israel, posting just three weeks after the October 7th massacres that Israel was purposely killing civilians.

In the November 1, 2023, post, Jolie wrote that 40 percent of those killed in Israeli bombings are “innocent children” – a dramatic exaggeration that even the Hamas terror group, known for regularly distorting statistics about war casualties, does not claim to be accurate.

“Whole families are being murdered…millions of Palestinian civilians – children, women, families – are being collectively punished and dehumanized, all while being deprived food, medicine and humanitarian aid against international law,” Jolie added.

For more than 20 years, Jolie worked as a Goodwill Ambassador and Special Envoy for the United Nation’s UNHCR refugee agency.

Jolie’s estranged father, Jon Voight, also an actor, is a prominent advocate for Israel. Voight has traveled to the Jewish State numerous times.

Speaking about his daughter’s views on Israel to Variety in July 2024, Voight said Jolie “has been exposed to propaganda” and “influenced by antisemitic people.”

Veteran actor and longtime Israel supporter Jon Voight criticized his daughter Angelina Jolie over the weekend for her position on the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, after the actress condemned the Jewish state for its military campaign against Hamas terrorists controlling the Gaza Strip and called for a ceasefire.

Jolie, who infamously has had a strained relationship and little communication with her father over the years, also accused Israel in an Instagram post last week of perpetrating “crimes” against Gazan civilians and said Palestinians are being “collectively punished and dehumanized” by the Jewish state. She further claimed Israel has turned the Gaza Strip into an “open-air prison,” which she argued is now “fast becoming a mass grave.”

In a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, Voight, who is not Jewish, slammed his estranged daughter.

“I am very disappointed that my daughter, like so many, has no understanding of God’s honor, God’s truths,” said the former Ray Donovan star. “This is about destroying the history of God’s land; the holy land; the land of the Jews. This is justice for God’s children of the holy land, Israel. The Israeli army must protect thy soil, thy people. This is war. It’s not gonna be what the left thinks. It can’t be civil now.”

Voight called Hamas terrorists “animals” repeatedly throughout the video and questioned the truth and lies being told about the war. He stated that innocent civilians in Israel were attacked by “inhumane terror” on Oct. 7. “And you fools call Israel the problem?” he asked. “You should look at yourselves and ask who am I? What am I? And ask God: Am I learning the truths, or am I being lied to and following everyone else?”

“Because the ones who understand truth see the lies,” he explained. “They see Israel has been attacked and these animals want to wipe out the Jews, Christians … Of course we all want peace, we want love, but we can’t be with these animals wanting Jews and Christians to be wiped from the earth. The lie that Israel is killing innocent people, but they are prisoners of the barbaric [Hamas] who use them as shields.”

Voight called on the world to recognize “that Hamas and the deceit of its rule is destroying its own people, not Israel” and addressed the claim — promoted by Jolie — that Gaza is financially struggling to support its Palestinian population and provide basic needs, such as electricity.

“Palestinians have not been neglected. They’ve been given huge infusions of money that they didn’t share with the people. They made weapons instead for their rage,” Voight said.

“The people of Israel care for people. They love, they cherish — something these [Hamas] animals don’t understand,” he added, calling civilians in Gaza “prisoners” of Hamas who use them as human shields.

The actor from National Treasure ended the clip by saying that “justice will prevail” in favor of Israel amid its war against Hamas — a war he called “evil versus good.” Just like Jews survived the Holocaust, they will also survive this “Hamas Holocaust,” he asserted, before saying that “the chosen ones should win this war.”

‘Gaza has been an open-air prison for nearly two decades and is fast becoming a mass grave’, the actress posted on Instagram.

Actress and filmmaker Angelina Jolie castigated Israel for its military campaign against Hamas terrorists controlling the Gaza Strip after the Palestinian terror group’s Oct. 7 pogrom in southern Israel, accusing the Jewish state of perpetrating “crimes” against Gazan civilians.

“This is the deliberate bombing of a trapped population who have nowhere to flee,” the Oscar winner wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “Gaza has been an open-air prison for nearly two decades and is fast becoming a mass grave.”

Jolie then discussed innocent Gazans being affected by the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and slammed the international community for watching while Palestinian civilians “are being collectively punished and dehumanized, all while being deprived food, medicine, and humanitarian aid against international law.”

Jolie, a former ambassador for the United Nations’ refugee agency, concluded her post by voicing support for a ceasefire amid the ongoing war. She claimed that “refusing to demand a humanitarian ceasefire and blocking the UN Security Council from imposing one on both parties, world leaders are complicit in these crimes.”

Her post accompanied a photo and description of Jabalia, Gaza‘s largest refugee camp. Israel’s military said that it killed a second Hamas commander in Jabalia on Wednesday in their second strike on the refugee camp. Also on Wednesday, the first group of civilians from Gaza were evacuated into Egypt through the Rafah border crossing. At least 320 foreign passport holders, dozens of severely injured Gazans, and at least 49 medical evacuees made their way into Egypt through the border crossing on Wednesday, according to Reuters.

The border crossing was also open on Thursday and reportedly some 7,500 foreign passport holders would be evacuated from Gaza over the course of roughly two weeks.

Israel has been launching air strikes and ground operations against Hamas targets in Gaza since Oct. 7, when the terrorist group invaded the Jewish state and massacred 1,400 people, mostly civilians. The terrorists also injured thousands of civilians and kidnapped more than 200 people, taking them back to Gaza.

Hamas has notoriously used civilians as human shields in conflict against Israel, blocking them from evacuating and putting its weapons and other military targets by civilian sites.

Jolie’s Instagram post was the second time that she addressed the war — each time, she failed to mention Hamas by name or the ongoing rockets fired on Israeli civilians by the terror group.

On Sunday, the Mr. & Mrs. Smith star posted a lengthy statement on Instagram expressing sympathy with the Israeli victims of the attack and the hostages taken, before turning her attention to those affected in the Gaza Strip.

“Like millions around the world I have spent the last weeks sick and angry at the terrorist attack in Israel, the death of so many innocent civilians, and wondering how best to help,” she mourned. “I too am praying for the immediate, safe return of every hostage, and for the families who carry the unimaginable pain of a murder of a loved one. Above all, the children murdered, and the many children now orphaned.”

“What happened in Israel is an act of terror. But that cannot justify the innocent lives lost in bombing a civilian population in Gaza that has nowhere to go, no access to food or water, no possibility of evacuation, and not even the basic human right to cross a border to seek refuge,” she wrote, before Egypt opened its border for Gaza evacuees following a deal between Egypt, Israel, and Hamas that was mediated by Qatar.

Jolie claimed Gaza’s population has been living “under a severe blockade for nearly two decades” and said the aid they are getting is not enough.

“The few aid trucks that are entering are a fraction of what is needed (and was delivered daily before the present conflict), and the bombings are causing desperate new humanitarian needs daily. The denial of aid, fuel, and water is collectively punishing a people,” she said. “Humanity demands an immediate ceasefire. Palestinian and Israeli lives – and the lives of all people globally – matter equally.”

According to several media reports and the Israeli military, Hamas has been hoarding hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel without giving any to Gaza’s civilian population.

Israel has agreed to allow 100 trucks of humanitarian aid into Gaza each day.
