Last week we had the big loud debate over what race Kamala Harris is. As I’ve said before, I don’t think she’s anything.

Her identity is as negotiable as anything else. And like Obama, it doesn’t fit the American identity politics calculus anyway.

Like a lot of Jamaican and Indian immigrants, she’s a member of a high-achieving minority group (who is admittedly a lot dumber than the average Indian and Jamaican immigrant) with some family ties, but little sense of belonging to anything beyond a social class.

Kamala’s cooking session with Mindy Kaling gets at how Indian she is which is as much as your average liberal Jew is Jewish.

They picked up some things growing up, mostly foods, a few words, and fond memories, but no real sense of identity, belief, or commitment.

Over in Bangladesh, a color revolution by Marxists and Islamists, cheered on by the media, has set out to demolish the country as an independent secular state.

Call it a smaller Arab Spring with no Arabs (except the ones remotely funding all this) and it has more than slight echoes of the massacres by Islamists (including some who fled to America and became political players) during the battle over Bangladeshi independence.

Like all Islamic movements, a primary goal is to massacre non-Muslims, in this case Hindus.

The media has mostly ignored or downplayed the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, much as it previously did the Muslim massacres of Chinese in Indonesia or of Christians in Nigeria.

The New York Times even justified them as “revenge” because the Muslim majority attacking a non-Muslim minority are still oppressed.

Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, who is Indian, offered a belated statement urging an end to the violence.

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries claimed, “I am deeply concerned and saddened by the violence, casualties and human rights abuses in Bangladesh over the past weeks and offer my condolences to the families of the victims, including within the Bangladeshi-American community that calls Brooklyn home. Recent developments and new leadership must bring with them respect for democratic principles and the rule of law and a commitment to investigating the attacks, calling for accountability for those responsible and demanding justice for the victims. Under the leadership of the Biden-Harris administration, the United States will continue to closely monitor the situation unfolding and we encourage all parties to refrain from further violence.”

And yet there’s been nothing from the ‘Harris’ part of the Biden-Harris administration.

Kamala, when it was convenient, pretended to be the “first Indian-American senator”.

Now when Hindus are facing violence, she couldn’t even be bothered to make a statement.

Soft drink giant under fire for advertisement in Bangladesh distancing the brand from Israel and falsely claiming it has a factory “in Palestine.”

The soft drink giant Coca-Cola has come under fire after the company introduced an advertisement which critics say is misleading at best, if not outright dishonest – in addition to angering supporters of Israel worldwide.

Following the October 7th invasion of Israel and the subsequent war between the Jewish state and the Hamas terror organization, Coca-Cola has faced growing calls for boycotts in Muslim-majority countries around the world, with anti-Israel activists citing the company’s operations in Israel.

In an effort to curtail further losses, Coca-Cola has launched local advertising campaigns in a number of predominantly Muslim markets, including a 60-second video commercial run in Bangladesh, where local media has reported a 23% decline in Coca-Cola sales since October 7th.

The ad, which debuted on Sunday on television and social media, features a shopkeeper speaking with potential customers, combating “misinformation” about the soft drink brand.

Coca-Cola, the man claims “has been enjoyed for 138 years by people in 190 countries,” including ” Turkey, Spain and Dubai, and it is “not at all from that place,” referring to questions by customers regarding the company’s ties to Israel.

To further add to the brand’s pro-Palestinian bona fides, the shopkeeper claims Coca-Cola “also has a factory in Palestine.”

While the company does operate a facility in Atarot, an industrial zone in eastern Jerusalem’s panhandle near Ramallah – an area which has in the past been included in final status plans for a Palestinian state.

The area has been under full Israeli control since 1967 and, as part of the city of Jerusalem, is under Israeli sovereignty.

The ad not only irked Israel supporters outside of Bangladesh who learned of the commercial, but also drew fire from locals who noted the factual inconsistencies, including pro-Palestinian advocates.

“This is an utterly insensitive and false statement,” market researcher Nadia Tabassum Khan said, according to Al Jazeera. “It’s an insult to the millions of Palestinians who for long have been losing lands due to Israel’s forceful occupation.”

Massive amounts of animals slaughtered in honor of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha combined with torrential rains have turned the streets of Dhaka, Bangladesh’s capital, into rivers of blood.

Authorities designated places in Dhaka for residents to sacrifice their animals in honor of the Eid al-Adha holiday, but heavy downpours Tuesday prevented people from using them.

Dhaka’s residents slaughtered the animals throughout the city, and combined with the rain, had the city looking it was hit by a biblical plague.

Muslims traditionally mark Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, by slaughtering livestock to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s test of faith, the binding of Isaac, a story taken from the Jewish Bible.

Flooding is common in Dhaka, an overcrowded city of more than 10 million people and one of the largest in the world, because of poor drainage systems.
