Jerusalem will become the spiritual heart of the Christian world on October 4 as more than 70 million people from 175 nations unite in what organizers say will be the largest global prayer gathering ever held in support of Israel.

The 24th Annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, organized by the Christian ministry Eagles’ Wings and its founder, Bishop Robert Stearns, will be broadcast live from the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum. More than 500 senior Christian leaders from 50 countries are expected to attend, joined by official delegations that include the First Ladies of Nigeria and Kenya, the King and Queen of Togo, and senior government officials from across Africa in a powerful public display of faith and solidarity with the Jewish state.

Among the largest international delegations will be 175 evangelical leaders from Latin America, led by Reverend José Wellington Costa Jr., head of Brazil’s Assemblies of God. Together, they represent more than 51 million Christians and will join millions of believers worldwide in praying for Jerusalem and Israel during one of the most challenging periods in the country’s modern history.

Coming amid the ongoing war sparked by the October 7 massacre and a global surge in antisemitism, organizers say the gathering is far more than a religious event. It is a worldwide declaration of faith, unity, and unwavering support for Israel, sending a clear message that the Jewish state is not standing alone.
