Another frightening antisemitic attack took place Tuesday afternoon in Brooklyn, NY, when a 35-year-old man was stabbed in broad daylight in the Crown Heights neighborhood after the attacker allegedly shouted explicit antisemitic slurs. Police are investigating the assault.

According to authorities and eyewitnesses, the suspect confronted the victim near the corner of Kingston Avenue and Lincoln Place, made antisemitic remarks, then pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

Witnesses and community officials said the attacker shouted phrases including “f*** these Jews” and remarked that it would be acceptable if the Holocaust happened again.

The assailant stabbed the victim in the chest and fled south along Kingston Avenue. The suspect remains at large. The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and later released.

The NYPD said the incident began as a seemingly random verbal altercation and is being investigated as a possible hate crime, citing reports that antisemitic comments were made immediately before the stabbing.

The stabbing came less than 24 hours after another violent antisemitic incident on a New York City subway.

On Monday night, Jewish students returning from a Chanukah outreach activity in Manhattan were verbally and physically attacked on a No. 3 train by two men believed to be a father and son.

Video from the incident shows one attacker striking a student, grabbing him by the throat, and shouting, “I will kill one of you.”

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said he spoke directly with one of the subway attack victims.

“I spoke with one of them. We encouraged them to be strong, to prevail,” Danon said. “Unfortunately, this Chanukah became a hunting ground against Jews, all around the world. We saw it happen in Sydney, Australia. We saw what happened here in New York City.”

Danon added, “We will continue to celebrate our holidays. They will not intimidate us. We will continue with our religion, and we are proud of it.”

The Brooklyn stabbing and the subway assault are the latest in a disturbing surge of antisemitic violence in New York and beyond.

They follow the deadly Chanukah terror attack in Sydney, Australia, underscoring growing concerns within Jewish communities worldwide that public Jewish life is increasingly being targeted by hatred and violence.

‘I had a miracle,’ says Chabad man who was stabbed outside of 770 in Brooklyn, noting that how close stab wounds came to vital organs.

A 22-year-old New York man who harassed Jews outside of the headquarters of a Hasidic movement in Brooklyn and stabbed a passerby during an ensuing confrontation has been charged with a hate crime, based on his comments made during the incident.

On Saturday, at approximately 2:00 a.m., 22-year-old Brooklyn resident Vincent Sumpter approached a group of Jewish youths walking down the street on Kingston Avenue, around the corner from 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, the center of operations of the Chabad – Lubavitch Hasidic movement.

According to witnesses, Sumpter harassed the youths and others passing by, shouting “Free Palestine” and a series of antisemitic slurs.

Several young men were alerted to Sumpter’s behavior and approached him.

During the ensuing confrontation, Sumpter shouted “Do you want to die?” and drew a knife.

Sumpter then stabbed one of the men and attempted to stab another, before he fled the scene.

Several of the men who confronted Sumpter pursued him and apprehended him, turning him over to New York Police Department officers.

Authorities have charged Sumpter with second-degree assault as a hate crime.

The victim, Yechiel Michel Dabrowskin, spoke with Israel’s Kan 11 over the weekend, noting that had the knife wounds been several centimeters over, they could have caused life threatening damage to his vital organs.

“It’s very, very painful,” Dabrowskin said. “I had internal bleeding but thank God I had a miracle.”

“At 2 a.m. they were saying that there was a person outside who was threatening children and teenagers,” Dabrowskin continued. “I heard him say, ‘Free Palestine,’ ‘You want to die?’ I asked him to leave.”

Rabbi Yaacov Behrman, a Chabad community activist, said Sunday evening that he had visited with Dabrowskin, and that Dabrowskin is expected to be released from the hospital on Monday or Tuesday.

“I visited the victim in the hospital tonight,” Behrman tweeted. He is grateful to be alive and understands that if he had been stabbed just 4 centimeters away, the result would have been very different. He is recovering and will hopefully be released in the next 24 to 48 hours.”

While black men getting enthusiastic about Hitler may seem odd to people who view racism as a binary matter of white supremacy, but the homeboys weren’t reading Mein Kampf here.

I’ve had people who wouldn’t pass an Aryan test with a gallon of hair dye and ten gallons of face paint flash me Nazi salutes in New York because they know that’s just what you do if you hate Jews.

Nowadays if you hate Jews, you shout, “Free Palestine”.

A man in his early 20s reportedly yelled “free Palestine” at a young Jewish man in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, before adding “do you want to die?” and stabbing him.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. on Shabbat “near Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue, close to Chabad Headquarters,” wrote Rabbi Yaacov Behrman, who is tied to the movement’s administration.

The victim, who was hospitalized, is expected to recover, and residents detained the alleged attacker until police arrested him, according to Behrman.

According to Behrman, “I visited the victim in the hospital tonight. He is grateful to be alive and understands that if he had been stabbed just 4 centimeters away, the result would have been very different.”

A decade ago there were endless debates about whether there was a difference between “antisemitism” and “antizionism”.

The Anti-Israel Left helpfully collapsed those debates. It now justifies attacks on synagogues and Holocaust museums by masked thugs in keffiyahs.

Terrorist supporters show up to protest outside a production of Fiddler on the Roof.

And random thugs know that the thing to shout at Jews right before stabbing them is “Free Palestine”.

Before you know it Jews for Racial and Economic Justice will explain that the stabbing was an act of anti-colonial resistance to decolonize Brooklyn.

“Free Palestine” is just the new “Heil Hitler”. Those shouting it are the new Nazis.
