33-year-old Israeli-American nurse’s body recovered more than two weeks after she went missing at a park in Montana.

An Israeli-American woman living in Colorado was found dead this week in Montana, more than two weeks after she went missing.

On February 21st, 33-year-old Danit Ehrlich disappeared after traveling to a dog park in Missoula, Montana, near the University of Montana.

Local authorities and a Jewish search and rescue group contracted by the Ehrlich family scoured the banks of the Clark Fork River amid fears Danit had drowned while hiking in the area.

Those fears were confirmed this week when Ehrlich’s remains were discovered in the Clark Fork River.

On Sunday afternoon, a passerby spotted a body in the river and notified local authorities. After the body was recovered by first responders, a coroner’s examination confirmed that the remains belonged to Ehrlich.

Ehrlich had taken her dog, Bamba, out hiking by the river on the day she went missing. Her father, Simon Ehrlich, speculated that his daughter drowned while trying to rescue Bamba from the icy river.

“She was a lovely, lovely girl. She really, she touched people,” Simon told CBS News.

“Her dog was her life,” said Simon. “They traveled together; they hiked together.”

“We have her last steps in the snow with the steps of the dog,” he continued. “We as parents, we are not surprised that she just jumped in. Don’t even think twice. That’s my dog. That’s my baby.”

Bamba has not been located.

Born in Miami, Ehrlich had relocated to Colorado and worked as a nurse in Lutheran Hospital near Denver.

Ehrlich ecently left Lutheran Hospital, working as a traveling nurse, with plans to relocate to Tacoma, Washington, for a new job.

When she failed to show up in Tacoma, however, her family began to worry.

“We started making phone calls to her, and she didn’t answer,” Simon said.

In a statement shared with CBS Colorado, Ehrlich’s boyfriend called her a “caring woman” and said he was “broken to know the truth.”

“I didn’t realize how much I was hanging on to the small sliver of hope I had about her possibly being alive. It brings closure, and it brings a sense of finality,” he said.

Christian Zionist group from Montana flies to Israel to work in the fields of Judea and Samaria, ‘to help the Jewish people any way we can.’

A group of Montana cowboys came to Israel Monday to help farmers who need to get their crops harvested but have no workers as their foreign hands have fled the country and the Jewish employees have been called to reserve duty.

John Plocher and Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Strain, wearing the typical cowboy headgear, represented their colleagues in an interview Tuesday with Israel’s Channel 14, and discussed what they’re doing and why they came.

“We love the Jewish people and we support ‘em,” said Plocher.

Their group was actually scheduled to come for a visit in about a month, he noted, but moved up the trip when Israel declared war on Hamas after its terrorist forces invaded Israel October 7 and massacred 1,400 people, the vast majority of them civilians, including babies and the elderly.

“When Hamas attacked, we got a call saying that [the farmers] needed help bad, so we ended up coming … early,” he explained. “We’re just here to help the Jewish people any way we can.”

They are currently working “in Judea and Samaria,” Plocher said, working with the HaYovel organization.

According to its website, HaYovel is a faith-based group that sends volunteers to Israel specifically to help plant trees, harvest grapes and tour the country. Its goal is “to serve the land and people, enabling them to connect to the land of their faith, restore Christian Jewish relations, and confirm Israel’s right to their ancestral homeland.”

The pair have done this before, they said, as it is Plocher’s third visit and Strain’s fourth to Israel.

Their first mission, however, was not agriculturally oriented.

“We’re out here delivering supplies to the communities, things like bulletproof vests, night-vision goggles, flashlights, and all sorts of stuff like that,” Plocher said.

They are now helping the farmers in the region with “miscellaneous tasks,” since “all the young men are off to war…and there’s a huge need for labor here. We’re picking up wherever we can,” he said.

When asked how people there are reacting to the arrival of “the cowboys from America,” Plocher answered that the news of their coming has gone viral “for who knows what reason,” he shrugged, “and everyone who sees us stopping on the road wants a photograph or to know why we’re here. It’s kind of interesting,” he said with a small laugh.

“But everyone, you guys are welcoming us with love, it’s very humbling.”

The interviewer herself expressed gratitude to the two men, saying, “We’re so grateful for you coming here and supporting Israel, thank you so much.”

Farmers all over the country are begging for help in harvesting fruits and vegetables of all kinds, from tomatoes to strawberries to zucchini and more.

Many say they will pay for the labor, and Israelis are trying to answer the call.

High schools have brought full classes to the fields, ad-hoc adult groups go from cities around the country for a day, and even some ultra-Orthodox men have been sent out of their halls of learning by their religious leaders to lend a hand.

A neo-Nazi coward is fleeing a lawsuit filed by a Jewish woman he had harassed online. 

Andrew Anglin, one of America’s most notorious anti-Semites, is said to be on the run and in hiding in order to avoid a lawsuit filed by a Montana Jewish woman.

Tanya Gersh, a Jewish real estate agent in Whitefish, Montana, is charging Anglin with orchestrating an anti-Semitic “campaign of terror” that included hateful messages from anonymous internet trolls. She and her family were subjected to a barrage of emails, phone calls, texts and social media comments with messages replete with slurs and Holocaust references.

The trolling campaign started in December after Daily Stormer founder Anglin published the family’s personal information, including the 12-year-old’s twitter handle and photo. In a string of posts, Anglin accused Gersh and other Jewish residents of Whitefish of engaging in an “extortion racket” against the mother of white nationalist Richard Spencer.

Gersh filed a suit against Anglin in April, alleging he had invaded her privacy, intentionally inflicted “emotional distress” and violated a Montana anti-intimidation law, but her lawyers have been unable to track him down in order to serve him with the papers.

“Andrew Anglin knew he had an online army primed to attack with the click of a mouse,” Richard Cohen, president of the Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center, which is representing Gersh, stated after the suit was filed. “We intend to hold him accountable for the suffering he has caused Ms. Gersh and to send a strong message to those who use their online platforms as weapons of intimidation.”

A Jewish woman is suing the founder of a neo-Nazi website who had instigated a campaign of terror against her. 

A Jewish real estate agent in Montana sued the founder of a neo-Nazi website on Tuesday, saying the publisher orchestrated an anti-Semitic “campaign of terror” that bombarded the woman and her family with hateful messages from anonymous internet trolls.

The barrage of emails, phone calls, texts and social media comments threatened and harassed Tanya Gersh and her family — including her 12-year-old son — with messages replete with slurs and Holocaust references, according to the federal lawsuit.

The trolling campaign started in December after Daily Stormer founder Andrew Anglin published the family’s personal information, including the 12-year-old’s Twitter handle and photo. In a string of posts, Anglin accused Gersh and other Jewish residents of Whitefish, Montana, of engaging in an “extortion racket” against the mother of white nationalist Richard Spencer.

Gersh’s lawsuit said she had agreed to help Spencer’s mother sell commercial property she owns in Whitefish amid talk of a protest outside the building. Sherry Spencer, however, later accused Gersh of threatening and harassing her into agreeing to sell the property.

Gersh, 44, told The Associated Press that she has been so scared for her family’s safety that she packed a bag and left it on her bedroom floor for three months in case they decided to flee their home.

“I’ve never experienced that kind of fear in my life,” she said.

Intentionally Inflicting ‘Emotional Distress’

Gersh is represented by the Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups. Her suit accuses Anglin of invading her privacy, intentionally inflicting “emotional distress” and violating a Montana anti-intimidation law.

The mother of two young sons said she suffers panic attacks, goes to bed in tears and wakes up crying. She also said her real estate business suffered because she had to take down her website and is too afraid to answer the phone.

Her suit, filed in Missoula, Montana, seeks unspecified damages against Anglin, who didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

Law center president Richard Cohen, one of Gersh’s attorneys, said the case could be a blueprint for fighting a digital strain of white supremacy.

“In the old days, they would have burned a cross on Tanya’s front lawn. Now, in the digital age, they launch a troll storm,” Cohen said.

The Alabama-based law center filed a similar suit in 1998 against a white supremacist who threatened Bonnie Jouhari, a fair housing specialist in Pennsylvania. Jouhari fled with her daughter and moved to another state after her tormenter posted her address and photo on the internet and branded her a “race traitor” for her work.

But cases like these are very rare because many victims are too scared to sue or can’t afford a lawyer, said Danielle Citron, a University of Maryland law professor and author of the book “Hate Crimes in Cyberspace.”

“We don’t have a lot of precedent with provocateurs like Andrew Anglin,” Citron said.

Styled After Nazi Propaganda

Anglin uses a mailing address in Worthington, Ohio, for his website, which takes its name from Der Stürmer, a Nazi propaganda publication. The site includes sections called “Jewish Problem” and “Race War.”

The Daily Stormer’s trolling targets have included prominent journalists, a Jewish congressional candidate in California, a British Parliament member and Alex Jones, a radio host and conspiracy theorist whom Anglin derided as a “Zionist millionaire.”

Anglin’s December 16 article about Gersh urged readers to “take action” against her and other Jewish residents of Whitefish, posting their telephone numbers, email addresses and Twitter handles.

“And hey – if you’re in the area, maybe you should stop by and tell her in person what you think of her actions,” he added.

Richard Spencer has popularized the term “alt-right” to describe a fringe movement loosely mixing racism, anti-Semitism, white nationalism and anti-immigration. Spencer and Anglin have appeared on a podcast together and are both leading figures in the alt-right movement.

After Donald Trump’s election, Spencer hosted a conference in Washington that ended with audience members mimicking Nazi salutes after Spencer shouted, “Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory!”

According to the lawsuit, Whitefish residents’ “discontent with the Spencer family had been simmering for years and reached a fever pitch when the ‘Hail Trump’ video of Richard Spencer went viral.”

In his first address to Congress on Feb. 28, Trump denounced anti-Semitism as well as “hate and evil in all its forms.”

Gersh fears her lawsuit will stir up another round of threats, but she said she is suing because the campaign against her family went “far beyond harassment.” She and her husband, Judah, felt compelled to teach their sons about the Holocaust after the trolling started.

“Our dinner conversations at home now regularly include that they shouldn’t be in fear for being Jewish,” she said.
