Newly elected Palestinian Authority officials denounce America as the “great Satan” while lauding terrorists who massacred civilians.

A cadre of recently elected Palestinian Authority officials have openly pushed anti-American and pro-terrorist messages while glorifying terrorist murderers and encouraging acts of violence against Israelis, a report published on Wednesday revealed.

The report was compiled by the research department of the Yesha Council, an umbrella group representing all Israeli municipalities in Judea and Samaria.

On April 25, the Palestinian Authority held local elections across Judea and Samaria, as well as in a limited number of communities in the Gaza Strip.

While the elections were dominated by candidates aligned with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, often presented as a moderate, a number of officials elected last month have promoted not only anti-Israel rhetoric but also messages sharply critical of the United States, in some cases echoing language used by the Iranian regime.

In Hebron, for instance, the new city council member Moamar Youssef al-Oweiwi has repeatedly published social media posts attacking the United States and accusing Washington of using Israel as a tool against the Arab world, denouncing the US as the “great Satan.”

One post cited in the report said the United States views Israel as “a forward shield and a stick in its hand to subdue the Arabs.”

Another post by Oweiwi accused “the occupation state, with the support of the great Satan — America,” of trying to portray Palestinians as incapable of managing their own affairs or choosing their leadership.

Elsewhere, Oweiwi directly addressed Washington after the Oct. 7 attacks.

“You acted immediately with your fleets, aircraft carriers and money to save Israel from collapse after the events of Oct. 7.”

The post went on to accuse the US of supporting “the killing of children, women, the elderly and young people,” and said America faced two choices: “the complete extermination of the Palestinian people” or “the end of the Israeli occupation and the establishment of a Palestinian state with full sovereignty on the 1967 borders.”

Oweiwi also published content praising terrorists, including a memorial post for Dalal Mughrabi, who led the 1978 Coastal Road massacre in which dozens of Israelis were killed.

In Jericho, Mayor Salem Ghrouf took part in rallies supporting jailed terrorists and posted social media comments backing terrorists released from Israeli jails.

At one rally, Ghrouf said that “the prisoners’ issue is the headline of the struggle for freedom.”

In Jenin, the report said newly elected mayor Mohammed Jarrar received support from the Jarrar clan, whose official website commemorates terrorist-linked family members described as “martyrs” and praises terrorist relatives who carried out attacks against Israel.

Yesha Council Director-General Omer Rahamim said the findings showed that anti-Israel and anti-American incitement was being promoted by officially elected representatives, not only by armed groups.

“The investigation reveals an inconceivable reality,” Rahamim said. “The mayors who were elected are mayors who run authorities 10 minutes from Kfar Saba and 20 minutes from Modiin and are engaged in glorifying terrorism and calls for the destruction of Israel.”

“This is not a distant enemy, but official elected representatives who give a tailwind to terrorists just around the corner,” he added. “The State of Israel must stop closing its eyes to this mechanism of incitement.”

Rahamim said the Palestinian Authority could not be treated as a peace partner while such officials hold office.

“Whoever legitimizes the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ in the heart of Israel proves again that the Palestinian Authority is an existential danger and not a partner,” he said.

Jerusalem-based journalist reportedly “praised and glorified” terror groups, including Hamas, on her social media accounts.

An Arab journalist from journalism was arrested on Sunday after she repeatedly posted videos and photos on social media that praised the Hamas terror group and its slain leader, Yahya Sinwar.

Latifeh Abdellatif’s work has been published by ABC News, Al Jazeera, the BBC, and other major media outlets, according to an online biography.

Abdellatif was detained at her home in the Old City for posting content supporting terror multiple times between October and December 2024, according to a police statement. Among the clips posted by Abdellatif was a video of Sinwar, in which he said he dreamed to die as a martyr.

“In these and other posts, it is evident that the suspect praises and glorifies the actions of terrorist organizations,” Jerusalem police said in a media statement.

Abdellatif, after spending the night in a police station, was released by a judge to house arrest under “restrictive conditions,” after which she reportedly smiled and made heart-shaped gestures with her hands.

“It is important to emphasize that the connection between incitement and violence, disturbances and terrorism is direct and clear. Therefore, the issue is a key focus for us,” Jerusalem District Police superintendent Assaf Harel told Hebrew-language outlet Israel Hayom.

The Israeli police are “constantly conducting monitoring and prevention activities, including online, against those who incite terrorism and call for harm against civilians,” Harel added.

Last week, an announcer for the Israeli-Arab soccer team Bnei Sakhnin was fired from his role after giving an interview to a Hamas-affiliated news channel. In the interview, Said Hassanin praised Hamas for what he claimed was its “humanitarian” treatment of the hostages kidnapped on October 7th.

Additionally, Hassanin said that Arab-Israelis who join the Israeli army are traitors.

His remarks triggered widespread outrage throughout Israel’s soccer community, and he is currently the subject of a police investigation for incitement.

The Israeli Knesset passed a bill on Tuesday clamping down on terror-supporting teachers and educational institutions, following a number of scandals involving educators celebrating terror attacks.

The bill paves the way for educators who post pro-terror content to be swiftly fired and to slash funding to schools that promote terror-supporting narratives.

The new law ensures that teacher who “identify with an act of terrorism in public or publish a direct call to commit an act of terrorism” can be fired with no advance notice.

Educators who promote pro-terror narratives are welcome to teach “in Tehran, Gaza or Ramallah today, but not in our schools,” said Likud MK Amit HaLevi, a co-sponsor of the bill.

MK Tvika Fogel (Religious Zionism), who introduced the bill, stressed that teachers have tremendous influence over children and youth.

The law, he said, ensures that educator and schools are held accountable for the narratives being promoted to students.

In recent years, several schools in eastern Jerusalem held ceremonies commemorating Palestinian terrorists.

Under the new law, these schools could lose their funding from the Education Ministry due to the pro-terror curriculum.

“The Knesset today is doing the most essential thing in the war against our enemies: damaging the strongest infrastructure of terrorism – education,” he said in a media statement.

“As we know, a bomb is not created and does not explode by itself. Its basic components are the brain and the heart, the consciousness of destruction, and the emotional fervor to carry it out, and these are created first of all in the educational system,” he continued.

“One teacher may raise dozens of ticking bombs every year. One idea can be more destructive than a thousand tanks.”

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir paised the law as “important” for “ending terrorism,” and emphasized that the government will “continue to fight terrorism in every way.”

Members of the Arab Joint List alliance visit notorious Temple Mount imam, who was recently arrested for incitement.

Thee Arab-Israeli MKs visited a radical imam who was recently arrested for incitement, posing for a photograph with the Sheikh at his home.

MKs Ahmad Tibi, Ayman Odeh and Youssef Atauna, all of the Arab Joint List alliance, visited Sheikh Ekrima Sabri at his home, sharing a picture of the meeting on their social media accounts.

Maor Tzemach, chairman of the Your Jerusalem NGO, has long raised the alarm regarding incitement on the Temple Mount and Islamic terror in Jerusalem.

Tzemach told World Israel News that it was disturbing for members of the Knesset to visit Sabri, considering his long history of incendiary remarks, along with his pro-terror views.

“For years, Ekrima Sabri, who was once the Grand Mufti of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and a member of Jerusalem’s Islamic Council, has been of the biggest inciters and terror supporters in the State of Israel,” Tzemach said.

“Just two weeks ago, he led a memorial prayer on the Temple Mount for the [assassinated] terrorist Ismail Haniyeh. For that, he received a ridiculous punishment – he was temporarily banned from the Temple Mount,” Tzemach continued. “So these Knesset members went to lift his spirits.”

Tzemach noted the “absurdity” that “these MKS are once again crossing a red line” by visiting a Sheikh notorious for his pro-terror stance, who was only recent arrested for incitement.

“I call on the Speaker of the Knesset [Likud MK Amir Ohana] to urgently launch an Ethics Committee investigation into these lawmakers, focused on their support for terror and Hamas.”

This is far from the first time that Tibi and Odeh have publicly supported terror.

In 2022, Tibi slammed the IDF for killing three terrorists who repeatedly fired at troops and civilians in the Shechem (Nablus) area of Samaria, framing the Israeli government’s elimination of the Al-Aqsa Brigade gunmen as an unlawful execution.

“These assassinations and these executions are an act of terrorism according to international law,” Tibi said in a statement immediately after news of the military operation. “Only the end of the occupation will end the violence.”

In a Knesset address later in the day, Tibi criticized Israel for “executing” the men. He concluded his statement by asking God to have “mercy on the martyrs,” referring to the terrorists.

In October 2021, Odeh attacked now-National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir in a hospital corridor, outside of a room where a hunger-striking terrorist was receiving medical care.

Video showed that Odeh was clearly the aggressor in the incident, yet a police investigation into the fight was eventually closed.

Study reveals Palestinian Authority school curriculum still filled with antisemitic bigotry – how will that impact the chances for peace in the Middle East?

A new study has found that the curriculum used in the Palestinian Authority’s schools is still filled with anti-Jewish and anti-Israel hatred.

How will that affect the chances for Middle East peace?

One of the most significant provisions of the Oslo Accords, which Israel and the PA signed three decades ago, was that the Palestinian Arabs would stop teaching hate to their children. According to the Oslo II agreement (Article XXII [1]), the PA is obligated to “abstain from incitement, including hostile propaganda.”

The most important place to begin implementing that new policy was the PA’s schools. The only hope for a genuine and durable peace in the region is if Palestinian Arab boys and girls are raised to embrace peace and coexistence, and reject hatred and violence.

Yet in the years following the signing of those accords, multiple studies by groups such as Palestinian Media Watch, MEMRI, and Impact-SE found that the PA was continuing to teach children to hate and kill Jews.

The U.S. State Department and J Street kept telling us that the Palestinian Authority was changing, becoming moderate, rejecting violence. Yet the actual school books used in PA schools told a different story.

Now a new study from Tel Aviv University’s Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) has confirmed our worst fears. Its review of PA school curricula has found that the PA continues to “espouse some of the worst views against Jews and Israel in their textbooks.”

Palestinian Arab children are still being taught to “dehumanize Israel and Jews.” Instead of aspiring to live peacefully next door to Israel, they aspire to “securing Palestinian justice over Israel’s ruins…to adhere to the vision of ending the state of Israel.” In fact, Israel is not even mentioned on the maps in PA schoolbooks—“instead, the region is referred to as “Palestine” or “Occupied Palestine.”

The PA schoolbooks make a mockery of concepts such as tolerance and pluralism. They present an “antisemitic portrayal of Jews…Jews are continuously maligned as the enemies of Islam…Jews are the ‘enemies of Islam in all times and places’.”

To cite just one of innumerable examples, a standard 8th grade Arabic Language textbook used in PA schools “teaches reading comprehension through a violent story that promotes suicide bombings and exalts Palestinian militants in the Battle of Karameh.”

In that narrative, Arab fighters “cut the necks of enemy soldiers” and “wore explosive belts, thus turning their bodies into fire burning the Zionist tank.” They celebrate “leaving behind some of the bodies and body parts, to become food for wild animals on land and birds of prey in the sky.”

Have you ever wondered why countless Palestinian Arab children participate in mobs that try to stone and burn Jews to death? Or why Palestinian Arab college students always vote for pro-terrorist, antisemitic parties in their university elections? Or why so many young Palestinian Arabs have enthusiastically engaged in the most heinous acts imaginable, such as beheading Jewish babies?

The INSS study provides the answer: because that’s how they are raised. Every day of their young lives, Palestinian Arab youngsters study from textbooks that glorify anti-Jewish terrorists and teach antisemitic hatred.

All the peace plans that pundits and diplomats promote mean nothing in the face of this tragic reality. All the talk about borders and refugees and settlements is meaningless so long as one side raises its children to wage a never-ending war against Jews.

Tel Aviv University’s Institute for National Security Studies has done an important public service by examining the Palestinian Authority’s textbooks. The results may be deeply disturbing, but they help us understand the basic reality of the Middle East today. That reality will never change so long as Palestinian Arab children are taught to hate and kill Jews.

International Olympic Committee bars Israeli athletes from wearing yellow ribbons in solidarity with hostages held captive in Gaza – but permits a Palestinian competitor to wear a shirt showing warplanes bombing children.

The International Olympic Committee has drawn accusations of bias after the Palestinian Authority Olympic team arrived in Paris Thursday, displaying imagery overtly referencing the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, despite a strict ban on political images and commentary.

On Friday, the Palestinian Authority’s delegation participated in the flag-bearing ceremony along the Seine to mark the opening of the Paris Olympic games.

The two-member team included 20-year-old boxer Waseem Abu Sal, who used the ceremony as an opportunity to display his shirt, which included images of warplanes bombing children.

Abu Sal later acknowledged in an interview with AFP that his attire was an overt reference to current events in Gaza.

“This shirt represents the current picture in Palestine,” Abu Sal said. “The children who are martyred and die under the rubble, children whose parents are martyred and are left alone without food or water.”

Earlier this month, however, according to a report by Kan, the International Olympic Committee rejected a request by the Israeli team to wear yellow ribbons as a sign of solidarity with hostages still held captive in the Gaza Strip, claiming the ribbons violated the committee’s ban on political imagery.

According Jibril Rajoub, head of the Palestine Olympic Committee, Olympic officials had not objections to Abu Sal’s shirt.

“It’s a message of peace. It’s a message to attract attention,” Rajoub said. “This is anti-war, against killing. This abides with the Olympic Charter.”

“We presented it, they approved it,” he added.

Rajoub last week penned a letter to the International Olympic Committee, lobbying them to exclude all Israeli athletes, accusing Israel of violating the Olympic Charter.

“The double standard policies is not good for the message of sport, or those who have good intentions.”

After 100 days of fighting Hamas, Roi Yanovsky describes a beautiful Gaza City that was far from the way the area is described by the foreign press.

After spending over three months fighting Hamas forces in the Gaza Strip, Channel 13 correspondent Roi Yanovsky posted online Monday about the luxurious conditions he witnessed in Gaza City that contrasted sharply with the way life in the coastal enclave is usually described.

“Some first impressions after 100 days of reserve duty ended officially yesterday,” he began. “Gaza is seen as a backward area, ‘the most crowded in the world’ that has been under Israeli ‘siege’ for years. There is no bigger lie than this. Gaza is a modern, beautiful and developed city – with large and well-equipped houses, wide boulevards, public spaces, a promenade by the sea, and parks. It looks much better than any Arab city from the Jordan River to the sea; it resembles Tel Aviv far more than Kafr Qassem or Umm Al Fahm.”

“And of course it’s very far from being ‘the most crowded in the world,” he continued, an allusion to how the city is regularly although incorrectly described by foreign media.

The wealthy lifestyle he saw boggled his mind.

“If this is a siege, let me live in a siege,” he wrote, repeating his reference to how the coastal enclave is usually depicted by anti-Israel journalists. “The houses are bursting with goods and food from all the countries of the Middle East, the latest furniture, advanced electrical equipment and what not. There are also magnificent mansions that would not put [wealthy Tel Aviv suburbs] Savion and Kfar Shmaryahu to shame.

“There is absolutely no shortage of wealth in Gaza,” he opined. “In general, most of the houses I was in were much bigger than the apartment where I live in Tel Aviv. The phrase ‘If only they had a chance for a good life they wouldn’t war with Israel’ is simply not relevant to Gaza.”

Yanovsky repudiated the contention of so many foreign governments, including the U.S., that civilian Gazans are innocents caught up in a war not of their making, saying that they are making an artificial dichotomy between the Palestinians there that simply does not exist.

There is a map of Israel in almost every home, school and public institution that simply calls the whole land “Palestine” in which no Jewish city exists, he wrote. It is part of Hamas’ ideology that the Gazans have imbibed “since age zero.”

In addition, “In all the neighborhoods we were in, there are ready-made Hamas military compounds – weapons, tunnels, explosives, launch sites, all inside residential houses.”

There is no way that the residents didn’t realize what Hamas was doing, Yanovsky continued.

“I find it hard to believe that the parents in the kindergarten where there was a tunnel shaft in one of the places we were in didn’t know that. Who chooses to send their children to a kindergarten that is used as a terrorist infrastructure?” he asked.

The IDF has said that on average, every other house in Gaza is a legitimate military target due to the weaponry or terror tunnel entrances found within them.

Israel told all civilians to leave Gaza City, he reminded his readers, to prevent their being hurt or killed, and the announcements are still plastered everywhere in the area. Therefore, “Those who decided to stay in the combat zones are either Hamas members in various positions or people who consciously decided to stay in the areas used by Hamas for combat, and what happens is their own fault.”

Ex-con Ahed Tamimi, jailed for assaulting an Israeli soldier, was released after serving three weeks in jail after she warned that Palestinians ‘will drink Israelis’ blood’.

Prominent Palestinian firebrand activist Ahed Tamimi, who rose to infamy after serving an eight-month sentence in an Israeli prison for her attack on an IDF soldier when she was 16, was among 30 Palestinian prisoners, all women or minors, released from Israeli prisons overnight Wednesday as part of the ongoing hostage deal for the Hamas terror group to set free 10 more Israelis from the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Prisoners Commission stated that 15 women and 15 teenage boys were released from Israeli prisons. Meanwhile, Qatar reported a slightly different breakdown, noting that 14 women and 16 minors were among those freed.

All of the released individuals, with one exception, had been arrested after October 7, when Hamas conducted a massacre in Israel that resulted in over 1,200 casualties and the abduction of at least 240 people who were taken hostage in Gaza.

Ahed Tamimi, now 22 and hailing from Nabi Saleh in Judea and Samaria, was arrested around three weeks ago following a social media post in which she warned that Palestinians would “slaughter” Israelis and “drink your blood.”

“We will slaughter you, and you will say that what Hitler did to you was a joke. We will drink your blood and eat your skulls. Come on, we’re waiting for you,” she wrote.

She has in the past praised Hezbollah terror chief Hassan Nasrallah for his support of her actions, and has called on all Palestinians to follow her lead and be willing to sacrifice their lives for martyrdom.

“We should always be slapping soldiers, wherever they may be, regardless of whether they did anything or not.”

She added, “This is a natural reaction to the presence of the occupation, to the presence of soldiers on my land. Everybody should be slapping soldiers.”

After serving an eight-month sentence in an Israeli prison in 2018, Ahed embarked on a victory tour, traveling across Europe and the Middle East.

Also released on Wednesday was Suhir Ismail Musa Barghouti, 64, a Hamas member from the West Bank who had been detained since October 26 on unspecified suspicions. She is the oldest woman among the hundreds of Palestinian security prisoners who could be released in exchange for hostages.

Her two sons, Asem and Salih Barghouti, carried out a shooting attack at the Ofir Junction in the West Bank in December 2018, critically injuring Shira Ish-Ran and moderately injuring her husband, Amichai. As a result of the attack, Ish-Ran, who was heavily pregnant at the time, lost her baby son.

Salih was killed by the IDF a week after the attack, and Asem was arrested a month later.

The extended Tamimi clan has a lengthy record of criminal activity and terror support.

Ahed’s cousin, Ahlam Tamimi, was a member of the terrorist cell that carried out the August 2001 bombing of the Sbarro restaurant in Jerusalem, killing 15 people, including eight children and a pregnant woman.

Ahlam Tamimi now lives in Jordan, protected from extradition to the U.S. where she is on the FBI’s “Most Wanted Terrorist” list as two of the victims were American citizens.

Bassem Tamimi, Ahed’s father, has been arrested several times for rioting and inciting children to commit acts of terror. Israel recently banned him from traveling abroad.

Her cousin, 21-year-old Izzeddin Tamimi, was killed in 2018 after attempting to attack an IDF soldier during a riot in Ramallah.

PA official television accuses Israel of harvesting organs from dead Gazans.

The Palestinian Authority disseminated its latest libel on official PA TV as part of its news summary of the Gaza war.

This latest odious lie is that Israel is stealing organs from the dead Palestinian bodies in Gaza.

Under the heading “The Israeli attack on Gaza,” PA TV posted the following words on the screen:

“The occupation (i.e., Israel) stole organs from the corpses such as the cornea of the eye, the concha of the ear, liver, kidneys and heart.”

The Palestinian Authority has been disseminating fake news and libels daily since the October 7th atrocities committed by Hamas.

Even when its lies are rejected by the entire international community the PA continues to disseminate its libels. For example, the PA continues to disseminate the lie that it was Israel’s attack on a hospital in Gaza that murdered 500 Palestinians.

In fact, the world has all recognized that it was in Islamic Jihad missile that killed 50 Palestinians in the parking lot.

This latest libel that Israel is stealing organs from Palestinian corpses, is a renewal of an ongoing PA libel that Palestinian Media Watch has been reporting about for years.

A  Palestinian activist was arrested Monday, after she called for the slaughter of Jews last week, the IDF announced Monday.

Ahed Tamimi (22), who has been idolized on the Palestinian street since 2018 when she earned an eight-month prison sentence for slapping an Israeli soldier and for other violent acts against IDF troops and incitement to terrorism, was detained in an overnight operation in her village of Nabi Saleh.

The army said that her arrest took place within the framework of a counter-terror mission of the Ephraim Brigade to arrest those suspected of terror activities and incitement. She has been transferred to the Shabak for interrogation.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir praised the IDF’s actions.

“Kudos to the IDF and the rest of the security forces who arrested the terrorist and ‘human rights activist’ Ahed Tamimi Manbi Saleh, who was previously convicted of attacking IDF soldiers and since the outbreak of the war has expressed sympathy and support for the Nazi animals on social media,” he wrote on Facebook. “Zero tolerance for terrorists and supporters of terrorism! That is the only way to go!”

Shai Glick, the CEO of human rights organization Bezalmo who had filed the original complaint against Tamimi, was not quite as pleased.

“I congratulate the IDF forces who arrested Ahed Tamimi who incited the murder of Jews,” he said. “At the same time, it is unfortunate that it took six days from my complaint to her arrest. I am now calling for her to be judged very severely and sent to prison for many years. In addition, a demolition order for her house should be issued today. Terrorism is defeated only by using an iron hand.”

Tamimi had posted on Instagram last Sunday, “Our message to the flocks of settlers, we are waiting for you in all the cities of the West Bank. From Hebron to Jenin, we will slaughter you, and you will say that what Hitler did to you is a joke.”

“We will drink your blood and eat your skull. Come on, we’re waiting for you,” she continued.

Tamimi’s account had almost 100,000 followers. It subsequently disappeared, although it was not clear whether the account was deactivated or suspended.

Tamimi has often spoken out against Israel and for terrorism since her release from prison.

At least 63 Arab Israelis have been arrested, and scores of others have been suspended from their jobs or fired, after they posted statements supporting terror and praising Hamas’ Oct. 7th massacre on social media.

Some of the suspects who were arrested posted explicit messages of support for the terror group, while others reposted videos of Hamas’ slaughter or theft of military assets with text and emojis indicating their approval of the events.

Several of those arrested by police are Arab-Israelis with a significant presence on social media, including popular singer Dalal Abu Amneh.

From the northern city of Nazareth, Abu Amneh posted a video of herself cutting down an Israeli flag, with a caption to her 341,000 followers that read “there is no victor but Allah,” alongside a Palestinian flag.

On Wednesday, a spokesman for Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva confirmed that a doctor had been suspended from his position after writing posts supporting terror on his Facebook page.

The spokesman confirmed that the doctor is currently the subject of a police investigation.

Last week, a 23-year-old daycare teacher who cares for Jewish toddlers in Ramat HaSharon was arrested for social media posts that celebrated the Oct. 7th slaughter.

The prosecutor’s office announced its intention to file an indictment against the woman, who is from the Muslim city of Taybeh near Kfar Saba, and her detention was extended by a judge.

In an Arabic-language video posted to the Israel police’s official TikTok account, Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai warned that people posting inciting clips and messages on social media would be swiftly arrested.

“We’re in a war and there’s zero tolerance” for inflammatory content, Shabtai said.

“Anyone who wishes to show solidarity and support Gaza is invited to board the buses heading there now.”
