Inauguration Day 2025 was a great day for America, the beginning of our nation’s comeback to greatness, and the end of an era most Americans consider a steep descent into progressive madness and self-destruction.

But even as Donald J. Trump reclaimed the White House on Monday and began launching a series of orders to restore sanity and put America First, evicted tenant Joe Biden – arguably the worst President in our country’s history – raced in his final hours to set as many fires as possible on his way out the door.

Literally within the last 15 minutes of his term, for example, the doddering puppet pardoned five members of the Biden crime family – brother James Biden and wife Sara; sister Valerie and her husband John Owens; and brother Francis – to protect them from the incoming administration holding them accountable, possibly for treasonous corruption.

Wait, haven’t the Democrats been self-righteously declaring for eight years that no one is above the law, not even a President?

Biden, predictably, issued a statement, reeking of shameless hypocrisy, claiming he is merely protecting those family members from Trump’s vengeful political retaliation.

“My family has been subjected to unrelenting attacks and threats, motivated solely by a desire to hurt me — the worst kind of partisan politics,” stated the bitter, angry hypocrite.

The irony here is that it is the Democrats who have spent the last eight years targeting their political enemies – most notably their hated arch-enemy Trump – with merciless and relentless partisan lawfare. Biden’s statement accuses Trump of precisely the strategy to which his own Party has resorted:

“Baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety and financial security of targeted individuals and their families. Even when individuals have done nothing wrong and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage their reputations and finances.”

Yes, that is precisely why the Democrats engage in it with such fervor: it suits their politics of personal destruction. It is exactly the kind of vicious persecution the cruel J6 Committee brought to bear against the Capitol “insurrectionists,” many of whom Trump rightfully plans to pardon (when Biden pardons someone, it is to protect political cronies; when Trump pardons someone, it is because he or she has been unjustly targeted politically).

But his family’s get-out-of-jail-free card is only the culmination of a spree in which Biden passed out pre-emptive pardons like Halloween candy.

He also pardoned COVID pandemic monster Dr. Anthony Fauci, who was at the center of one of the worst crimes against humanity in the modern era; woke General Mark Milley, who fretted over the existential threat of “white rage” and once admitted that if Trump ordered an attack on China, he would call the ChiCom regime and warn them; and ironically, the members of the House committee that persecuted the J6 protesters.

“The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense,” Biden said in a statement.

Revealingly, that assertion runs directly counter to what the J6 prisoners were told by the Justice Department back in November, when they were threatened that accepting a future pardon from Trump would confirm their guilt:

“[A] pardon at some unspecified date in the future … would not unring the bell of conviction. In fact, quite the opposite. The defendant would first have to accept the pardon, which necessitates a confession of guilt.”

Wouldn’t that also apply to Fauci, Milley, the J6 inquisitors, Biden’s son Hunter, and the other pardoned Biden family members?

No, because as the Democrats see it, a pardon for their comrades protects them from political retribution; a pardon for Trump supporters, by contrast, damns them as guilty for all time. This is the gospel according to the Party that claims to be the standard-bearer for democracy against fascism.

True to his Party’s pro-crime stance, Biden also commuted the life sentence for Native American activist Leonard Peltier, the radical Left’s celebrity-beloved icon convicted of killing two F.B.I. agents in 1975 on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

He gave a posthumous pardon to pan-African and racial separatist Marcus Garvey, whom he referred to as a “renowned civil rights and human rights leader.”

Old Joe also commuted the sentences of nearly all prisoners on federal death row to life in prison without the possibility of parole (as well as commuting the sentences of 1,500 people who were on home confinement, the largest number of commutations by a president in a single day).

Trump said after his inauguration that Biden had pardoned “political thugs” who were “very, very guilty of very bad crime.” Indeed.

Biden also issued a series of policy decisions, many of them executive actions, intended to further his agenda and to throw up roadblocks to changes Trump had promised to make.

They included, among others: removing Cuba from a list of state sponsors of terrorism; approving U.S.-supplied long-range missiles for strikes inside Russia by Ukraine, as well as supplying Ukraine with American anti-personnel mines and announcing more sanctions targeting Russia’s energy sector; cancelling student loans for more than 150,000 more borrowers (bringing the total to more than five million); and extending deportation protections for hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants from Sudan, Ukraine, El Salvador and Venezuela.

Trump remains unruffled. “Fear not, these ‘orders’ will be terminated shortly,” he said.

Leftists are not builders; they are destroyers. This is perfectly exemplified by ex-President Joe Biden’s petulant, destructive trail of a record number of pardons, many of them pre-emptive, which set a dangerous precedent for presidential power.

“We have never had such a self-serving and corrupt president in our history,” judged my friend Peter Schweizer, bestselling author and president of the Government Accountability Institute.

Good riddance, because as Trump put it in his inaugural speech, “From this moment on, American decline is over.”

President Joe Biden commuted the sentences of roughly 2,500 non-violent drug offenders Friday, breaking his own record for single-day commutations just days before leaving office.

Those receiving clemency were “serving disproportionately long sentences compared to the sentences they would receive today under current law, policy, and practice,” Biden said in a statement released Friday.

“This action is an important step toward righting historic wrongs, correcting sentencing disparities, and providing deserving individuals the opportunity to return to their families and communities after spending far too much time behind bars.”

Biden had previously set the mark for single-day commutations in December, when he reduced the sentences of nearly 1,500 individuals and pardoned another 39.

Biden came under fire for these grants of clemency, which included a corrupt Pennsylvania judge who sent juveniles to prison in exchange for kickbacks and a woman who murdered two husbands and an ex-boyfriend for insurance money.

The outgoing president also received heavy criticism for his sweeping pardon of his son, Hunter Biden, after repeatedly promising not to do so.

“With this action, I have now issued more individual pardons and commutations than any president in U.S. history,” Biden said Friday.

Biden indicated that more commutations might be on the way, saying he “will continue to review additional commutations and pardons” prior to leaving office next week.

While Biden is not the first president to pardon and commute sentences for fraudsters, both the dollar amounts and the number of victims in these cases are staggering.

Some people lost their life savings while others lost their dreams in a $900 million fraud that was described as one of the largest Ponzi schemes in history and left behind 1 million victims.

Investors in ‘Zeek’ had taken out loans and mortgages on their homes expecting to get a 125% return on their investment. Victims included the parents of a leukemia patient who were trying to pay for their daughter’s hospital visits.

And while some of the money was recovered, people in towns like Lexington, North Carolina, where ZeekRewards had its office, are still suffering. Zeek’s victims were working class people who didn’t understand what they were getting into.

Zeek CEO Paul Burks, who made millions from the scheme, was convicted of wire and mail fraud and sentenced to 14 years in prison in the first year of the Trump administration.

Burks filed multiple appeals, claiming that COVID poses a risk to his health (he contracted a mild case) that were rejected by the court. And that was that until Biden commuted his sentence.

The Zeek CEO was one of a number of major fraudsters who were liberated by Biden in his rash of pardons and commutations.

While Biden had long claimed that “no one is above the law”, beginning with his corrupt pardon of his son, the outgoing president has set out to demonstrate that the law is worthless for some of the worst convicted crooks in the country.

Biden commuted the sentence of James Fry, a hedge fund manager convicted in the Petters Group $1.9 billion Ponzi scheme described as “one of the largest and most complex Ponzi schemes in U.S. history” and was accused of having “raised hundreds of millions of dollars from investors” while working alongside a convicted criminal.

He also commuted the sentence of Timothy McGinn, one half of a pair of brokers accused of defrauding 900 investors of $136 million, who had been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Victims included a father of two wounded veterans who had been putting aside the money for their expenses.

Former CEO Eric Bloom, who got 14 years in prison, after being accused of committing the “biggest fraud in Chicago court history” in what was described as a $665 million fraud scheme also got a pass from Biden.

So did former CEO Gregory J. Podlucky, who ran a bottled water company and had been accused of a $685 million pyramid fraud loan scheme in which the money was spent on jewels and toy trains, and had been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Gregory McKnight, who ran a $72 million Ponzi scheme that targeted at least 3,000 investors in every state in the country, had been sentenced to 15 years in prison before Biden stepped in.

Marc Dreier, had been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a $740 million Ponzi scheme with losses to investors estimated at $400 million, also got a helping hand from the White House.

Biden seemed to have a soft spot for Ponzi fraudsters and his commutations included Nevin Shapiro, sentenced to 20 years in prison for a $930 million Ponzi scheme that made headlines because of its Miami connection, Brian Callahan, sentenced to 12 years in prison for a $96 million Ponzi scheme that caused some to lose their life savings, and Joseph Shereshevsky, sentenced to 22 years in prison for a $255 million Ponzi scheme that defrauded 1,200 investors.

Other ‘smaller time’ fraudsters freed by Biden included Gary McDuff, sentenced to 25 years, for an $11 million investment fraud scheme, Gordon Driver, sentenced to 12 years in prison for a $17 Ponzi scheme with around 150 victims, Christopher Swartz who had been sentenced to 12 years in prison after defrauding over 150 investors out of $21 million, and Andrew Mackey, sentenced to 27 years in prison for a $12 million Ponzi scheme with 150 victims.

Biden also intervened on behalf of Henry Ramer, sentenced to 13 years in prison for defrauding over 200 investors out of over $3 million, Rodney Phelps, who had been sentenced to 9 years in prison for defrauding victims out of $2.4 million in a Ponzi scheme, Leslie John Hamilton Jr who had been sentenced to 25 years in prison for ripping off over 400 investors of $14 million in a pyramid scheme, and James Turek, sentenced to 18 years in prison for defrauding 8,500 investors out of over 18 million.

Biden also extended his hand to fellow corrupt government officials including Rita Crundwell, the former comptroller of Dixon, Illinois, who had embezzled over $53 million to fund her horse breeding business in what was described as “the largest theft of public funds in state history.”

Cuyahoga County county commissioner and county Democratic Party chairman Jimmy Dimora who had been sentenced to 28 years in prison, and Judge Michael Conahan, who became notorious as the ‘kids-for-cash’ judge for a scheme that involved sending kids to prison in exchange for kickbacks.

The judge’s actions have been blamed for at least one suicide.

After giving his son a blanket pardon that would potentially cover legal issues emerging from his tax problems, Biden chose to also intervene on behalf of Paul Daugerdas: a lawyer who had been sentenced to 15 years in prison for manufacturing $7 billion fake tax deductions in what was described as “the biggest tax fraud prosecution ever.”

Health care fraud was also a popular theme in Biden’s commutations including James Burkhart, a former CEO of the American Senior Communities nursing home chain who “abused his official position of trust to steal tax payer dollars intended to benefit this community’s sick, elderly and mentally challenged.”

Elaine Lovett, the owner of a medical billing company involved in a $26 Medicare fraud case, Millicent Traylor, accused of taking part in an $8.9 million Medicare fraud scheme and Babubhai Patel, who controlled 26 pharmacies in Detroit, and provided kickbacks to doctors to prescribe expensive drugs, and numerous other health care fraudsters as well.

As well as the more serious case of Dr. Meera Sachdeva, a former Misssissipi oncologist who was accused of using expired and diluted chemotherapy medications and whose clinic reused needles resulting in possible infections and deaths.

Considering the involvement of James Biden and Joe Biden’s own physician in the Americore scandal, that may be a prelude for pardons coming in for Biden family members and associates.

While Biden is not the first president to pardon and commute sentences for fraudsters, both the dollar amounts and the number of victims in these cases are staggering. Due to complicated recovery processes it is difficult to estimate the total amount of losses for victims, but the total amounts of money involved in these cases approaches $5 billion with over 1 million victims.

No president has ever left office bailing out individuals who did so much harm to so many.

Later investigations may determine whether, as with Bill Clinton’s Marc Rich pardon, there was a ‘pay-to-play’ element, but the sheer amount of wealth makes it unlikely that there wasn’t.

Bill Clinton’s legacy was forever scarred by the Marc Rich pardon. Biden’s legacy, already dripping with corruption, is now that of the most corrupt man to occupy the White House.

“No one is above the law,” Biden told us, before pardoning his son and executing a mass jailbreak of some of the worst financial scammers and fraudsters in the United States.

President Joe Biden commuted the sentences of nearly 1,500 individuals and pardoned another 39, breaking the record for the largest grant of clemency in a single day, the White House announced on Thursday.

The White House said those granted clemency “have shown successful rehabilitation and a strong commitment to making their communities safer.”

Most of the individuals who were issued commutations—which leaves a guilty verdict intact but lessens some or all punishments—had been placed in home confinement during COVID-19 under the CARES Act. T

he 39 pardoned individuals were convicted of nonviolent crimes, including drug offenses.

“As the President has said, the United States is a nation of second chances,” the White House said in a statement. “The President recognizes how the clemency power can advance equal justice under law and remedy harms caused by practices of the past.”

Biden’s unprecedented move far surpasses former president Barack Obama’s 330 commutations, the second-largest single-day act of clemency, according to Politico.

The record-breaking act of clemency comes just two weeks after the president’s controversial pardon of his son, Hunter Biden, which he promised not to do numerous times.

Hunter was convicted of gun possession in June and income tax evasion in September. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle criticized the president for the sweeping pardon.

In the wake of the first son’s pardon, some Democrats and clemency advocacy groups pressured Biden to use his exoneration powers more broadly before leaving office, Politico reported.

Biden indicated in his statement that his administration “will take more steps in the weeks ahead” in the name of “equal justice.”

“My Administration will continue reviewing clemency petitions to advance equal justice under the law, promote public safety, support rehabilitation and reentry, and provide meaningful second chances.”

The president’s team is also weighing whether or not to give preemptive pardons to adversaries of President-elect Donald Trump, including Senator Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) and former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, according to Politico.
