The transformation of California for Warren into TrackAIPAC raises questions about whether Warren or members of her team have signed off on the account’s strategy and tactics.

The X account known as “TrackAIPAC,” the self-described “America First” group that accuses pro-Israel U.S. politicians of being “foreign agents,” got its start as “California for Warren,” an account dedicated to promoting left-wing Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren’s (D.) failed presidential campaign, a Washington Free Beacon review found.

At one point, the account described itself as part of the “Warren for President team.”

Years before the “AIPAC Tracker,” run by Cory Archibald and Casey Kennedy, began posting graphics spewing bile at Israel, which it has described as “a terrorist state, massacring innocents by the hundreds of thousands,” and maligning pro-Israel Americans, it was known as California for Warren, according to archives of the account.

Created in April 2019, California for Warren described itself as “Californians supporting Elizabeth Warren for president” and as part of “#TeamWarren.”

The account amassed thousands of followers by live-tweeting Warren’s speeches and debates, defending her when she faced criticism, and coordinating with her campaign on volunteer efforts.

Archived posts reviewed by the Free Beacon, for example, show the account advertising a Warren campaign town hall in San Diego, soliciting donations for the campaign, and recruiting prospective volunteers.

It also promoted a “#TeamWarren Night School,” which it described as “an 8-week free online training program on the nuts and bolts of being a Community Team Leader for #Warren2020!”

California for Warren at times presented itself as directly affiliated with the Warren campaign.

On Nov. 18, 2019, the account announced an event marking the opening of a new campaign office in Los Angeles.

“The Warren for President team is excited to announce we will be opening our new LA Office on Sunday, November 24th!” the tweet read. “Come and join the fight for BIG structural change! #Warren2020 #TeamWarren.”

The revelation comes as 2028 Democratic presidential contenders court the left-wing senator, who has met recently with Kentucky governor Andy Beshear and California governor Gavin Newsom, according to Axios.

Those meetings have sparked concerns among centrist Democrats that the party has drifted too far to the left, and her affiliation with TrackAIPAC is unlikely to quell those worries.

When Warren ended her presidential campaign in March 2020 after a poor Super Tuesday showing, the California for Warren account rebranded itself as “Warren Democrat,” a move it said was aimed at “expand[ing] our reach as we move toward the general election.”

It promoted the idea that then-candidate Joe Biden should name Warren as his running mate and reacted negatively to news of Kamala Harris’s selection.

In the days leading up to the announcement, the account wrote that “this moment in history demands that Biden not pick a former cop or prosecutor to be his running mate.”

Most recently, the account promoted the New Jersey congressional campaign of Adam Hamawy, a longtime associate of the “Blind Sheikh” terror mastermind, and signal-boosted a post likening the Jewish Democratic congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.) to “Jim Crow Republicans.”

Warren, in fact, has not publicly commented on or directly interacted with TrackAIPAC, though the account frequently mentions her, thanking her in one June 2025 post for accusing Israel of “shooting at innocent people desperate for food.”

TrackAIPAC has faced criticism in recent weeks for its endorsement of antisemitic Democrat Maureen Galindo, who is in a primary runoff in Texas’s 35th Congressional District.

TrackAIPAC revoked its endorsement on May 19 after Galindo called to imprison and castrate “American Zionists.”

Before that, however, Galindo had said that Jews “worship the synagogue of satan” and “use books and movies to create realities” because they “own Hollywood.”

TrackAIPAC did not distance itself from Galindo after she made those remarks, when those comments gained attention, and Warren has not condemned Galindo or her remarks.

That said, Warren does not appear to be uncomfortable with extremist views. She endorsed Graham Platner early in Maine’s Senate primary. Until recently, Platner sported a Nazi tattoo on his chest.

Warner said he “has the values” to serve in the Senate and would bring much-needed “accountability” to Washington.

The “Warren Democrat” handle on the account lasted until February 2023, when the account name changed to “Progressive Wins” and began posting examples of left-wing politicians winning Democratic primary races and passing bills.

The branding stuck until March 2024, when the account became “TrackAIPAC.”

While TrackAIPAC presents itself as a supporter of the “America First” movement, one that is often associated with President Donald Trump, the account touted some of Warren’s most extreme left-wing views when it was known as California for Warren.

In a thread about “Ending the Criminalization of LGBTQ+ People,” for instance, the account celebrated a Warren plan that included ending solitary confinement and cash bail as a means of helping transgender people.

Another thread accused white people of causing air pollution and giving “Blacks and Latinxs” childhood asthma.

California for Warren also amplified Warren’s promise “to appoint women or nonbinary people to at least half of the top positions in the executive branch” and her claims that higher maternal mortality rates for black women are a result of racism.

The man behind California for Warren identified himself as a “queer masc person who lives on the *west* coast” in a January 2022 post, indicating that Kennedy, one of the owners and operators of TrackAIPAC, was also behind the account during its Warren years.

Kennedy worked at a company called AG Scientific and resides in San Diego. He gave a total around $613.79 to Warren’s 2020 presidential campaign, Federal Election Commission records show.

He also donated to Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption—the political action committee behind TrackAIPAC—in August 2024.

Neither Warren nor Kennedy responded to requests for comment.

Since changing the account’s name to TrackAIPAC, Kennedy and his cofounder have argued that Hamas was justified in kidnapping American-Israeli dual citizen Edan Alexander because Alexander “should have stayed at home in New Jersey instead of signing up for the Israeli military.”

It also maligned Itay Chen, a 19-year-old American hostage killed by Hamas, as an “American citizen [who] volunteered to move overseas to join the [Israeli military] to partake in ethnic cleansing and genocide.”

The account has called Israel an “evil, malignant force” that “should simply not exist” and accused the Jewish state of committing a “21st Century Holocaust.”

TrackAIPAC has also called on its large following to boycott Jewish Americans in the entertainment industry.

It posted a Google Docs spreadsheet called “Boycott These Movies & TV Shows for Palestine” on X, naming “450 Jewish creatives … and Hollywood professionals” who have spoken out in support of the Jewish state.

Warren has been outspoken in her criticism of Israel since Oct. 7, 2023. In November of that year, she wrote that “terrorist attacks against Israel have been followed by a dangerous spike in anti-Jewish incidents.”

As the Israeli war against Hamas went on, she continued to condemn October 7 as “the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust” but accused Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “unleash[ing] unthinkable violence on innocent civilians in Gaza.”

Warren has also voted for measures blocking arms sales to Israel and boycotted Netanyahu’s 2024 address to Congress.

Though she has denounced Netanyahu’s leadership as “a moral and strategic failure that is in direct opposition to American policy and American values,” she has not echoed TrackAIPAC in describing him as a “modern day Hitler.”

The ads suggest that US President Joe Biden has undermined Israel’s military campaign in Gaza against Hamas.

The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) will purchase $50,000 worth of digital ads in key battleground states with the purpose of targeting Jewish voters ahead of the 2024 US presidential election, according to a statement released by the group on Monday.

The RJC, an organization that seeks to build support for the Republican Party among Jewish voters, claimed it would release new ads underlining what it described as the deteriorating relationship between Israel and the United States during the Biden administration.

The ads suggest that US President Joe Biden has undermined Israel’s military campaign in Gaza against Hamas, the Palestinian terror group that launched the ongoing war with its Oct. 7 massacre across southern Israel.

“As antisemitism spikes to record highs and America’s relationship with our ally Israel continues to reach new lows, the Jewish community is more energized than ever to turn the page from the failures, broken promises, and betrayals by Joe Biden,” RNC chair Norm Coleman and CEO Matt Brooks said in a statement.

The two ads will be deployed in states considered critical in the 2024 presidential election: Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and Michigan. Both ads swipe at Biden over his decision to pause offensive arm shipments to Israel and suggest the president has “stabbed Israel in the back.”

They also accuse Biden of not being “strong” enough to guarantee Israel’s security and urge voters to support Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president.

“Biden is siding with Hamas, Iran, and Hezbollah over Israel at the most crucial time, a blunder of historic proportions that will lead to more death and destruction,” one of the ads says.

Biden expressed strong support for Israel following the Oct. 7 onslaught, and since then the US has sent significant amounts of munitions to the Jewish state for its war effort against Hamas.

In recent weeks, however, he has adopted a much more critical posture toward Jerusalem, culminating with his decision earlier this month to withhold sending certain weapons to Israel due to disagreements over Israeli military operations in Gaza.

In the months following Hamas’ Oct. 7 terror attacks on Israel, Republican politicians have attempted to capitalize on the growing tension between Democrats and Jewish voters. On May 9, Trump lambasted Jewish supporters of Biden.

“If you’re Jewish, and you vote for him, I say shame on you,” Trump said.

Ammiel Hirsch, a rabbi of Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, penned a Wall Street Journal op-ed last week warning Democrats not to take Jewish voters for granted.

“American Jews increasingly feel politically homeless. Liberal Jewish voters consider President Biden a longtime friend. At the same time, they are troubled by the growing influence of anti-Israel forces in the Democratic Party,” Hirsch wrote.

In his final statement before passing away earlier this year, former US Senator and Democratic Party vice presidential nominee Joe Lieberman similarly warned Democrats and Biden about the political danger of turning against Israel.

“We are here to say that you can no longer simply count on our vote just because Jews traditionally have voted Democratic. We are here to say you must earn our vote,” the joint statement read.

“We want to continue to support Democratic candidates, but you need to know that if you abandon Israel in order to garner the support of anti-Israel extremists within the Democratic Party, it will be difficult for us to support Democrats who are on the ballot this November.”

Lieberman, an ardent supporter of Israel, was the first Jewish candidate on a major party presidential ticket in the US.
