Trump accuses Obama of founding ISIS

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has now accused President Obama of being directly responsible for the rise of ISIS.

After accusing Hillary Clinton of founding the Islamic State (ISIS) terror group earlier this week, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is now accusing President Barack Obama of establishing ISIS.

“In many respects, you know, they honor President Obama,” Trump said Wednesday during a campaign rally outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “He is the founder of ISIS.”

Trump then claimed that “crooked Hillary Clinton” was actually the group’s co-founder, and supporters joined in unison to shout “lock her up.”

He repeated the assertion three four times for emphasis.

Trump also made a point of referring to the president by his full legal name: Barack Hussein Obama.

The White House declined to comment on Trump’s allegation.

Trump has repeatedly blamed Obama and Clinton for pursuing policies in the Middle East that have created instability and enabled the advent of ISIS amid the collapse of regional states.

In June, when a terrorist who pledged allegiance to ISIS shot 49 people in Orlando, Trump seemed to suggest Obama was sympathetic to the group when he said Obama “doesn’t get it, or he gets it better than anybody understands.”

In the past, Trump has also falsely suggested Obama is a Muslim or was born in Kenya, where Obama’s father was from.
