A new poll shows that more than two-thirds of American Jewish adults plan to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in this November’s presidential election, compared to just 25% who say they will vote for former President Donald Trump.

The poll, commissioned by the Jewish Democratic Council of America, was conducted by GBAO from August 27th through September 1st, surveying 800 respondents who were directed to the internet-based poll via text messages.

If the election were held today, the poll found, 68% of American Jews would vote for Harris, compared to 25% who said they would vote for Trump.

The results roughly mirror the margin Joe Biden held among Jewish voters over Trump in the 2020 presidential election, according to the Associated Press VoteCast survey, which estimated that Biden won the Jewish vote, 68% to Trump’s 30%.

The poll, released on Monday, suggests that there has been no significant movement among Jewish voters since the October 7th invasion of Israel and subsequent dramatic rise in anti-Israel and antisemitic incidents in major cities and on college campuses.

Former President Trump has sought to strengthen his support among Jewish voters, accusing prominent Democrats of hostility towards Israel and even antisemitism, while warning repeatedly that a Harris victory would doom the Jewish state.

“You’re not going to have an Israel,” Trump told a gathering hosted by the Republican Jewish Coalition last week. “Israel will no longer exist.”

Later, at a campaign rally in Wisconsin, Trump warned that if he loses the November election “Israel, with comrade Kamala Harris at the helm of the United States, is doomed. Israel is doomed. That’s a tough statement. Israel will be gone. One year, two years. Israel will no longer exist.”
