Under attack, IDF forces kill 2 terrorists in Jenin gun battle

IDF forces, responding to an attack, killed two Palestinian terrorists.

IDF forces shot and killed two terrorists during a gunfight in the Palestinian city of Jenin early Wednesday morning.

The elite Maglan unit was conducting a counterterrorism operation in the city when they came under a barrage of gunfire and improvised explosive devices. The soldiers fired back, killing two combatants in the process.

Another two Palestinians were reportedly wounded in the battle. There were no Israeli casualties.

Palestinian sources named the dead assailants as 17-year-old Aws Muhammad Youssif Salamah and 20-year-old Saad Nasser Hassan Abd al-Fattah Salah.

The Palestinian Ma’an news agency reported that Salah’s brother is imprisoned in an Israeli jail and his father was permanently disabled after being shot by Israeli forces. The report, however, provided no information on the circumstances surrounding either case.

In related news, IDF forces arrested 21 Palestinians wanted in connection with terrorism at various locations throughout Judea and Samaria. Two are members of the Hamas terror organization.
