WATCH: Moderate Muslim faces backlash from far-Left

Maajid Usman Nawaz left the extreme Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir after reading books on human rights while in prison. Granted early release, Nawaz remained Muslim, but founded a think tank advocating for a “peaceful Islam,” only to find himself labeled an “anti-Muslim extremist” by the far-Left Southern Poverty Law Center as part of a campaign targeting conservatives as “hate groups.”
