US Central Command (CENTCOM) carried out a sixth consecutive night of strikes in Iran, targeting military infrastructure in Hormozgan province as Iran launched attacks against countries hosting US military facilities across the Middle East.

Using fighter jets, drones and warships, US forces struck military logistics hubs, coastal surveillance positions, air defense sites and key bridges in southern Iran.

The operation also targeted transportation infrastructure, including six bridges and a railway station, in an effort to cut supply routes leading to the strategic port city of Bandar Abbas.

Iranian state media reported that at least eight people were killed and 20 wounded in the overnight strikes across Hormozgan province.

Overnight into Friday, Iran targeted four countries that host US military installations: Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.

Qatar’s Defense Ministry said Friday morning it was responding to its second air attack of the day. An earlier wave of attacks left one child injured by falling shrapnel, according to the Interior Ministry. Although Iran has repeatedly targeted military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, it had not struck Qatar in recent days.

Tehran has not claimed responsibility for the attacks on Qatar Friday morning.

In Bahrain, the Interior Ministry said warning sirens sounded for a second time Friday morning.

Iranian state media IRNA reported that Iran’s military had targeted US military assets in the country. State broadcaster IRIB released video it said showed drones being launched toward Bahrain. CNN said it had sought comment from US Central Command.

Kuwait said it was responding to missile and drone threats early Friday and warned residents that air defense interceptions could result in explosions being heard.

Iranian state media reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had targeted military hardware in Kuwait.

Jordan’s armed forces said three Iranian missiles were intercepted Friday without causing casualties or damage.

The IRGC claimed it had struck US fighter jets and refueling aircraft in Jordan, although CNN said it had not verified the claim.

Iranian state media also reported Friday afternoon that the IRGC had attacked a US radar installation in Oman.
