IDF forces on Sunday shot and killed two Palestinians who crossed the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip and attempted to damage the security infrastructure near the fence

An IDF spokesman said that IDF forces securing the border spotted three Palestinians who infiltrated Israeli territory through the security fence and attempted to damage security equipment in the area.

IDF forces fired at the three, killing two of them.

“An attempt to infiltrate Israel and sabotage security infrastructure was thwarted,” the IDF stated.

This incident occurred just hours after the Israeli Air Force bombed a Hamas outpost from which “fire kites” were launched at Israeli territory.

There were no Israeli injuries in either incident.

These latest events occurred amid the daily violence on the Israel-Gaza borderorchestrated by Hamas, the Islamic terror group that rules the Strip and calls for Israel’s destruction.

Hamas has organized a series of protests at the border under the “March of Return” banner. The terrorist group says the demonstrations will continue until May 15, the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel, which the Palestinians observe as Nakba Day, meaning Day of Catastrophe.

Some 40 Palestinians, mostly terrorists, have been killed in over six weeks of clashes on the Gaza border.
