Duaa Abu Shareh, a 32-year-old Israeli Arab from Lod, was shot and killed in front of her four young children on Friday night.
Allowed visitation hours by her ex-husband, Abu Shareh was saying goodbye to her children after they spent the day with her, when a black-clad man ran toward them, grabbed her and shot her in the head.
Police arrested three of her brothers shortly after on suspicion they murdered her, and the Rishon Lezion Magistrates Court has extended their remand by three days.
The detention of another family relative has been extended by four days.
The brothers have denied they were involved in the murder and requested to participate in their deceased sister’s funeral Sunday afternoon.
Police suspect that the victim was murdered as part of a family feud.
The Arab sector in Israel suffers from a comparatively high crime rate, and at least 43 Arabs, of them six women, have been killed in criminal incidents since the beginning of 2016.
