Three Palestinian terrorists were killed in an Israeli drone strike during an operation in the Tulkarem camp in Samaria early Tuesday, the Palestinian Authority’s Wafa news agency reported.
At least seven Palestinians in total were killed and at least 12 injured overnight Monday and into Tuesday during the Israeli counterterror raid, according to Wafa.
The IDF said that troops from the Kfir Brigade were operating in Tulkarem when armed Palestinians started throwing explosives at them, initiating the drone attack.
In addition to clashes with local terrorists, IDF soldiers uncovered hidden explosive devices and detained wanted suspects for questioning.
The Israel News Telegram channel posted videos of an IDF bulldozer demolishing the Yasser Arafat monument in Tulkarem on Tuesday morning.
The IDF said on Tuesday that it had demolished the home of Muhannad Faleh Shehadeh, one of two Hamas terrorists who murdered four Israelis and wounded four others on June 20 near the town of Eli in the Binyamin region of Samaria.
The home was located in the village of Urif south of Shechem (Nablus).
The home of Shehadeh’s accomplice, Khaled Mustafa Sabah, was destroyed last month in the same village.
An armed Israeli civilian managed to kill one of the terrorists at the scene of the June 20 attack, while the second was killed some hours later by Israeli security forces.
Both shooters were Hamas members and the Gaza-based terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.
