A bomb went off near the offices of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza City Saturday while another one exploded near police headquarters. No deaths or injuries were reported.

“A bomb exploded near the outer wall of the headquarters of UNRWA in Gaza, about three meters from the door, causing no casualties or damage,” an agency spokesperson, Adnan Abu Hasna, told AFP.

Hamas security services announced the launch of an investigation into both incidents, stressing that the homemade devices that went off simultaneously caused “limited damage and no casualties.”

So far, there is no clear motivation for the attacks, and no organization has taken responsibility.

The UNRWA offices in Gaza have been the target of Palestinian ire in the past.

In January, a large group of Palestinian protesters stormed the UNRWA compound, citing lack of funds and suspended payments to Gaza families to rebuild their homes damaged during Operation Protective Edge.

Some 200 people burned tires and threw rocks until Hamas police dispersed the rioters. The UN blamed Hamas for the attack.
