Terrorists, faces hidden behind keffiyahs and scarves, attacked a bus near Deir Istiya on its way to Karnei Shomron in Samaria. The assailants then managed to escape from the scene.
The bus continued on to its destination where a female passenger was treated for shock. No other injuries were reported.
Although it was unclear from early reports if the terrorists used rocks or bullets to shatter the bus’s windshield, it was later confirmed to have been a shooting.
In the wake of the attack, Israeli forces closed off part of highway 55.
