Ceasefire Momentum Builds Around Key Phone Call

Lebanese outlet Al-Modon reports that President Joseph Aoun cleared his schedule this afternoon, fueling expectations that a phone call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is imminent, potentially as part of a three-way conversation involving U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Lebanese sources suggest a ceasefire could be announced in connection with the call, while Qatar’s Al-Araby reports that Rubio is expected to reach out to Aoun to encourage including Netanyahu in the conversation.
