Roi Sharon reported on Kan News’ main evening broadcast that the IDF and the Shin Bet are examining a serious suspicion that an individual within the security establishment, who had access to classified information, used that information on the international betting platform Polymarket.
According to the report, Military Intelligence and the Shin Bet held internal discussions and began a preliminary review of the case but at this stage have decided not to open a formal investigation.
The suspicion centers on a user on the betting site that allows wagers on future events, who in June 2025 placed bets totaling tens of thousands of dollars—and correctly predicted four security-related events connected to an Israeli strike on Iran, with unusually precise timing:
– Israel would strike Iran on a Friday
– Israel would strike Iran by the end of June 2025
– Israel would announce the end of the operation by July
– Israel would strike Iran before July
