Unlike her brother, who focused primarily on national security and foreign policy issues, she clarified that her campaign will emphasize key domestic concerns affecting state residents.

Darline Graham, sister of the late pro-Israel Senator Lindsey Graham, announced in an interview with Fox News that she will run in the upcoming elections for a full six-year term in the U.S. Senate.

This follows her appointment last week to complete the remainder of her brother’s term through January 2027.

“He worked so hard for so many years. I cannot just let that disappear. I have to step into his shoes and continue his legacy,” she said in her first interview since her brother’s passing.

She added, “He loved the people of South Carolina deeply and worked relentlessly for them. He taught me well, and I feel I can do this too.”

Graham, who became the first woman to represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate, stated she feels a “sense of inner peace” regarding her decision to run, though she acknowledged experiencing “immense pressure.”

Unlike her brother, who focused primarily on national security and foreign policy issues, she clarified that her campaign will emphasize key domestic concerns affecting state residents.

“I told him: speak also about what concerns the average person – food prices, gas prices, healthcare, and insurance. That is what worries me,” she shared.

Lindsey Graham passed away on July 11 at the age of 71 after suffering an aortic dissection caused by cardiovascular disease.

His sister described the loss as “extremely difficult,” stating: “He was everything to me. He was my rock, my brother, and like a mother and father to me.”
