El Al says it is helping relatives of hostages fly to Israel

The airline shared video footage of a pilot announcing that “this time, it’s not an ordinary flight.”

El Al stated that it is helping relatives of hostages return to Israel, as a U.S.-brokered deal includes the release of all the hostages from Gaza.

“El Al personnel have begun working with full dedication to assist the families of the hostages currently abroad and to bring them back to Israel as soon as possible, so they can reunite with their loved ones, a reunion the entire nation of Israel has been waiting for for over two years,” the airline stated.

It added that it “considers it a great privilege to accompany the families during these historic and emotional moments and wishes those returning a swift recovery and healing and better, quieter days for us all.”

The airline shared video footage of a pilot announcing that “this time, it’s not an ordinary flight.”

“On board with us are families of hostages who are about to reunite with their loved ones, returning home after more than two years in Hamas captivity in Gaza,” the pilot says.

“It’s hard to put into words the emotion of this moment.”
