The IDF said that IEDs were placed “in order to attack IDF forces operating on the border” with Gaza.
The IDF defused two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) near the Gaza Strip’s northern border security fence, according to an IDF spokesperson on Tuesday.
The IEDs were placed in an off-limits zone on the Palestinian side of the security fence “in order to attack IDF forces operating on the border,” the IDF said.
After successfully neutralizing the IEDs, the IDF sent them to experts for further investigation.
Preceding the IDF’s statement, Palestinian media outlets had reported on Israeli troops operating on the Palestinian side of the northern Gaza Strip security fence.
Most recently, Israeli officials warned the Hamas terrorist group in control of Gaza against any escalation in terror activity from Gaza.
