A female IDF combat soldier was killed Wednesday morning in a road accident in the Jordan Valley. Magen David Adom first responders and army medics attempted to resuscitate her but to no avail.
Lynn Levkov, 19, was a native of Tel Aviv.
The driver was a Palestinian. Police, however, have ruled out terrorism.
“On behalf of all the citizens of Israel, I send condolences to the family of the late Sergeant Lynn Levkov, a combat soldier in the Lavi Valley Brigade, whose short life was cut off today in a road accident in the Jordan Valley,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement.
The funeral takes place Wednesday evening at the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
