Two people were killed and several wounded during clashes between rival Palestinian factions in the Ein el-Hilweh camp in Lebanon.
Factions have clashed with Islamic terrorists for the third consecutive day in a Palestinian camp in Lebanon.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said Sunday at least two people have been killed since the clashes began.
Ambulances rush the wounded to hospitals near the Ein el-Hilweh camp as the sounds of rocket-propelled grenades and gunfire echo from inside.
Sidon’s government hospital was struck by a rocket, and Lebanese authorities closed the main highway connecting the port city to southern Lebanon.
On Saturday, Subhi Abu Arab, who is not a Palestinian, vowed to crush the followers of radical preacher Bilal Badr, who has ties to al-Qaeda.
Clashes are not uncommon in the camp, and similar fighting erupted in late February.
Ein el-Hilweh is notorious for its lawlessness and is home to Muslim terrorists who sympathize with the Islamic State (ISIS) and al-Qaeda. The Lebanese Armed Forces are forbidden to enter the camp, giving it the name “zone of un-law” by the Lebanese media.
Many people wanted by the Lebanese authorities are believed to have taken refuge in the camp.
