Israel is still faced with a new wave of Palestinian terror that started in September of last year and which has resulted in the deaths of 39 innocent victims and wounded over 500.
Israeli police shot and killed a Palestinian terrorist and wounded another as they tried to run the security forces down with a car in the neighborhood of Shua’afat in Jerusalem early Monday morning.
Israeli police and Border policemen were leaving the neighborhood after conducting a counter-terrorism operation when the terrorists in the car sped towards the forces, apparently in an attempt to hit them.
The troops under threat first fired in the air and then fired at the car, killing one passenger and moderately wounding the other.
No Israeli soldiers were wounded in the incident.
The killed terrorist was named as Mustafa al-Nimer, 25.
This incident was the latest in a long series of Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of almost a year, claiming the lives of 39 victims and wounding over 500.
