Gal Gadot: No Wonder Woman sequel with sexual harasser

Wonder Woman star reportedly refuses to do the sequel to her blockbuster movie unless accused sexual harasser Brett Rattner dropped as co-producer

Gal Gadot, the Israeli model-turned-actress who became an overnight superstar due to the smashing success of her role in the Wonder Woman movie.  Gadot  reportedly told Warner Bros. that if they don’t buy out co-producer Brett Rattner’s share she won’t be in the sequel.

Rattner’s production company, Rat-Pac Dune co-financed the hit movie, which grossed over $400 million at the box office, meaning that Rattner made a tidy sum from Gadot’s sparkling performance. Now, it seems, the actress who embodied women’s empowerment on film is taking a stand in real life to say that she will not help enrich a man who has recently been accused by six women of having sexually harassed them.

Rattner also directed hits such as Superman Returns and X-Men: The Last Stand.  He  has denied all allegations against him, through his lawyer. This doesn’t seem to matter to Gadot.   Warner Bros. told Page Six, ““She’s tough and stands by her principles. She also knows the best way to hit people like Brett Ratner is in the wallet. She also knows that Warner Bros. has to side with her on this issue as it develops.”

Just a few weeks ago, when stories started coming out regarding Rattner’s sexual misconduct, Gadot pulled out of a Jewish National Fund-USA dinner where she was supposed to present him with an award.

It could be, however, that Gadot’s concerns are for nothing, as there are indications that Warner Bros and Rattner are parting ways as a result of the furor regarding the once-highly acclaimed producer/director.
