‘Genocide airline’ – El Al offices targeted in Paris

Anti-Israel vandals scrawled inflammatory slogans on El Al’s Paris offices; local police are probing incident as a hate crime.

By World Israel News Staff

Anti-Israel vandals defaced the Paris offices of Israeli airline El Al, scrawling messages including “Free Palestine” and “genocide airline” on the building’s exterior.

Images and videos posted to social media showed the facade of the building marked with red paint and anti-Israel slogans, including some written in Arabic.

El Al proudly flies the Israeli flag on the tails of its planes and condemns all forms of violence, especially those with an antisemitic background,” the Israeli national carrier said in a statement responding to the vandalism.

The airline confirmed that no staff were present in the building when the damage occurred, adding that it is partnering with local authorities in efforts to identify those responsible.

El Al added that it had evacuated all of its employees from Paris following the incident, stating that a third-party airline would now be acting on behalf of El Al in the French capital.

Israel’s embassy in France condemned the attack, describing it as indicative of “a climate of violent and unrestrained incitement by certain French elected officials.”

The French-language tweet on the embassy’s X account did not mention French President Emmanuel Macron by name, though Macron has recently been sharply critical of Israel’s military campaign against Hamas in Gaza.

The embassy added that “the question is: where is the limit, and will [the perpetrators] be held accountable?”

“Citizens of France, wake up. Today it’s El Al, tomorrow it could be Air France,” Regev wrote.

She linked the vandalism to France’s recent announcement that it will formally recognize a Palestinian state in September.

“When President Macron makes declarations that empower Hamas, this is the result,” Regev wrote.

“I strongly condemn this barbaric act and expect French law enforcement to identify those responsible and take firm action.”

According to Jewish News, French police are investigating the incident as a hate crime.
