Hamas to Trump: Moving embassy to Jerusalem would ‘add fuel to the fire’

Hamas warned that Trump will “open a new chapter of conflict” if he dares to move the US embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The Hamas terrorist organization reiterated its warnings on Tuesday regarding US President Donald Trump’s stated plan to move the US embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, according to the Associated Press.

Hamas claimed in a statement that such a move would “open a new chapter of conflict” and “add fuel to the fire.” Most recently, Mousa Abu Marzouq, vice-president of the politburo for the terrorist organization, accused Trump of holding radical positions, all of which he claimed would lead to regional instability.

Dozens of Palestinians living under Hamas’ control in the Gaza Strip reportedly protested Trump’s plan to move the embassy and burned effigies of the American leader. Palestinians in Bethlehem did the same on Friday, when Trump was sworn into office.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority in Judea and Samaria is reportedly considering downgrading its relations with the US if Trump follows through with the embassy move.
