Hezbollah fires dozens of rockets into Israel; IDF hits 200 terror targets in Lebanon

Hezbollah launched 40 drones and rockets into Israel on Saturday as Israeli forces struck targets in Lebanon, while talks to end the Iranian conflict began in Islamabad with disputes over Lebanon’s role in a ceasefire.

Magen David Adom reported light damage to a building in the town of Shlomi following a UAV strike, with no injuries.

Earlier, UAVs crossed from Lebanon toward the western Galilee, and some were intercepted. Interception fragments fell in an open area in Karmiel.

The IDF said it struck more than 200 Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon over the past 24 hours as operations continued alongside the cross-border fire.

“The Israeli Air Force continues to strike Hezbollah infrastructure and aid the ground forces operating in southern Lebanon,” the IDF said. “In addition, the IDF continues to strike launchers in order to thwart fire toward Israeli citizens.”

During a targeted operation in southern Lebanon, IDF troops located a weapons storage facility.

In a separate engagement, troops encountered Hezbollah fighters at a site and, in coordination with the Israeli Air Force, identified and eliminated them.

Talks aimed at ending the Iranian conflict began Saturday in Islamabad, where Iran has demanded that Lebanon be included in a ceasefire arrangement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Thursday that Israel will begin direct talks with Lebanon without a ceasefire, even as military operations against Hezbollah continue.

Iran warned that continued Israeli operations in Lebanon could jeopardize broader US-Iran peace talks, raising the risk of disruption to the diplomatic process.
