IDF forces raided the Palestinian village of Nabi Saleh in Samaria Sunday night and made several arrests in wake of a recent increase in acts of terrorism and violence emanating from the village.

Security forces arrested nine suspects involved in acts of terror.

Security forces also carried out an operation to locate weapons in the nearby Palestinian village of Ein Yabroud and seized two guns, as well as a raid in the city of Bethlehem, where they confiscated thousands of shekels in funds collected for terrorism.

In total, 16 Palestinians were arrested.

In related news, an IDF spokesman announced Monday that a general closure will be implemented in Judea and Samaria beginning Tuesday night, ahead of the Purim holiday, which will be celebrated Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday.

The crossing points into Israel will reopen for Palestinians on Saturday night. Humanitarian cases will receive special permits to cross into Israel.
